• The day I got my first job was one of the craziest days ever.
That day was filled with emotion, surprise, and drama. That day was the best and worst day of my life at the same time. Instead of just telling you I’ll take you all the way back
    June 20th, 1998.
It was the first day of the summer, and it was my last year of college. I woke up at nine o’ clock in the morning, and I knew what I was going to do I was going to find a JOB! I knew it was going to be hard but a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do. The first thing I had to do was get a newspaper from 7ELEVEN. Since I can’t drive a car yet, I have to ride my bike. After I got the newspaper I quickly took it home and circled some advertisements for jobs that I could consider. I mean I had a degree so I could apply for more things. Then I went to go fill out applications for the two jobs I circled. The two jobs I choose were HEA (Head Executive Administrator) of RUNWAY Magazine, or Assistant Manager at a Firm. I would qualify for both because first of all I have stellar fashion and know millions of designers. I could also apply at a firm my degree is in math, and I know my finance. So right now I’m in a win, win situation. Two days later….
I get a letter that said I was not accepted in to the Firm, then things got down in the doldrums. After this I told myself it was OK….that I would have to adjust to being rejected, and that they lost the best thing that ever happened to them. The next day something HUGE the letter from RUNWAY came.
They said they wanted me to appear for an interview. Then
I read it a little bit more it was tomorrow, the interview was tomorrow. That’s when I got nervous really nervous. I started thinking what if they don’t approve of me. I had to squash those thoughts and say: If they didn’t approve of me they wouldn’t approach me. So as a result
I went to the interview the next day, the interview great. After I was done speaking and telling them my ideas they gave me applause. They thought my ideas and I were very appealing, they also admired me. Now I am Head Executive Administrator and I am also much appreciated.
