• She sat in her open window frame and took a deep inhale of the slightly floral air. Next to her she could hear the trickleing of rain makeing its way down the gutters. One last look around her cramped, closet like room and she made her way down the side of her house. With a smile she reached the ground and snuck around to the back of the house where it was heavily wooded. She checked the time on her watch and darted off into the thicket of trees and bushes. With every step she pushed faster and her smile grew wider. That feeling of freedom and happieness was returning slowly. She wanted to be cautios becuase she could get caught at any moment.
She reached a clearing and her sprint slowed to a stop. Sitting down seemed like a good idea. Her grey eyes made a quick scan around to make sure no one or nothing was there besides her. The moon was coverd in the dark colored clouds and would shine through every once in a while when there was a gap in the almost haunting patches of deep purple and black. She relaxed slightly when she was done looking around, but she couldnt take her eyes off a little space in the trees where she heard somehting but dismissed it as just the wind. She was now soked because of the mist like rain, but she loved it. The howl of a wolf rang out over everything. It sounded colse. Really close. The haunting of the wolfs cry silenced everything. The wind stoped blowing, it stoped raining, even the clouds seemed to freeze in place. In the blink of an eye she was on her feet and ready to run as soon as she needed. Luckily the wolf was on its way into the clearing but she was off running before it could even get to her.
She was begining to miss Nate. Her life long and best friend. They were so close and he did everything with her. Even if it was something stupid like go to the doctor, he had to be there. Same with her. They seemed like conjoined twins but one was older then other. An evil grin swept accross her face as she changed direction back to her old house. She climbed back into her room and began to stuff clothing and such into a black backpack. She had the lights off incase someone came by and saw that she was awake. Suddenly her door flew open and there stood her big brother. ''What the hell are you doing?'' he said as he leaned up against the door frame, blocking it. He flicked on the light angirly and glared at her, waiting for her answer. ''Nothing, now go to bed before Dona catches you.'' she replied calmly while continueing to stuff her bag. ''... Your running away again arent you?'' he said with a soft voice. His glare softend and he sat next to the bag on the bed. ''No, what would give you that idea?'' she wouldnt look at her brother because she knew he was going to be really sad and try to get her to stay useing the big eye thing. ''.. I wont tell... And here, take these. You need them later.'' he sighed quietly and handed her a small bundle of things. It contained, two lighters, a map, a cell phone, a hundred dollars chash and a knife. ''Oh my god, no. I cant take this, Vic.'' she gasped as she slid the knife back to her brother. She wouldnt take it becuase it was his fathers knife. His family died in a house fire and that was all that was left. ''Take it.'' he said angrily and forced it back to her. ''You are the only family I have left. You need to take it.'' he insited and looked away with tears in his eyes. They werent related but they were very close that they considerd themselfs true brother an sister. ''What the f**k is going on here?'' boomed a deep womans voice with a thick southern accent. There she was, Dona May. The most vile thing to walk the earth. She had a drug addiction and drank heavily every day. ''Come here, boy.'' she called for her brother. He cautiously walked over to her with his head down, trying to hide his tears. ''Quit crying you p***y!'' she bellowed as she hit him on the side of the head. ''Now go to bed!'' she pushed him out of the door and down the hallway. Dona was FAT FAT FAT. You could hear her stomping down the hall back to the room she was just in. In an instant a fat, clammy, sweaty hand was claped on her shoulder and she was thrown onto her bed. ''You werent thinkin' of leavin' again, were ya? Cuz' you know that I wanna be able to keep you. I need you here. Who else is gonna scrub the floor, wash the dishes and do everything else I need? The boy sure as hell wont cuz hes grounded.'' Dona snaped. Dona was so messed up, she was fat, ugly and not to bright. ''You know, I kin' call the police and have them haul you off to juvie right now'' Dona chuckled. She realized that she still had her brothers knife in her hand. She clutched it tighter and tighter with every thought. She wouldnt mind going to jail, atleast they feed her every day and the jail cells were bigger then her room so that would be a good change. What would make it even better is going there for killing the one thing she hated the most. She was sure that Vic would be proud of her too. She released the kinfe, but still clenched her fists as tight as she could. She calmly stood up and approached Dona. '' What the f**k are you lookin' at?'' Dona spat. With one punch to the face Dona was on the floor. She grabed her bag and ran to Vic's room. ''Come on, we have to go.'' she exclaimed. ''What? Why? Whats going on? Where Dona?'' Vic questiond. ''I will tell you in the car, get your keys and lets go!'' she pushed. Vic swiped his car keys off the dresser and they ran down the stairs and into the car. ''Take me to Nates now'' she said with concentration. ''Do not come back to this house, find a friend to stay with and dont look for me.'' she said quickly as they pulled up to the small house. ''Good bye, I will see you again one day. Take care of yourself. I love you brother.'' she said as she huged him tightly and ran to her friends window and pounded rappidly. The car sped away into the night with a crying Vic inside.
