    ...And the Destruction Begins...

    Chapter I
The Fourth Moon, Amazing, Powerful, and...A Signal For Doom!

Amber City has been Rodey's home for several centuries already, he had spent most of his time protecting it and its citizens, it seemed as if he had only been here for a few years when the truth was, he had been here for well over two-hundred years. The city had grown from a small village to a mining town and then to a kingdom, then it grew into the city that it was today.
Amber City was bright this evening to Rodey, it was the Fourth Moon festival, humans always celebrated this day because once in every seventy years the fourth moon would show itself. The three moons sat in a straight line, from biggest to smallest, light shone upon them, giving them an amethyst color. The fourth moon was coming to show itself, slowly, it'd be in line with the others within three hours, Rodey always counted the time before it was in line.
Rodey sat at the very top of a local corporation building, his amber eyes were fixed upon the glowing moons. He could feel the energy within him alter, his eyes glowed a bright orange, the pentagrams on his back glowed white as well. He was in the highest state of power at the moment, he felt replenished, with a smirk he stood from the ledge of the building and stretched. A cool breeze picked up that made his black robes sway in the wind, his twin blades sat comfortably at his sides, his dai-katana rested hanging from his back, as well as his bow and arrows.
Unlike the humans, Rodey honored the old ways, he kept his old weapons that were well over two-thousand years old. He was skilled with archery, swordsmanship and in the arts of assassination. But, he rarely had any use for these skills, people here had never picked fights with him, when they did they'd run like wimps, and the government had most issues under control.
Two hours past, the moon was almost fully out, it was a royal blue this time, people cheered and began to celebrate while the more romantic types watched it with their lovers. Artists painted the scene, poets constructed their poems on the spot, observing it and telling their feelings to a small crowd, using pretty words. It was the artists' celebration really, most of the worlds artists would come to the city to see it.
The moon came into line, it glowed bright and let off a flash of light, Rodey covered his eyes, the light was blinding. People screamed and panicked, confusion was spread throughout the city. Rodey let his arm down as he saw that the moon turned black, he looked down to check on the people below. In the distance he heard a larger concentration of screams. A violent rumble was sent throughout the city, windows exploded, buildings collapsed, people stumbled and fell to the floor. Rodey could feel the foundations of the building below him give out. He let out a sigh, he didn't feel like killing anything today but, he knew it was a must.
A deafening roar rose into the air, people were rushing away to their cars and away from it, they would turn back every once in a while and search for loved ones or to look at whatever they ran from. In the distance, more buildings collapsed, rising from the dust and smoke came a massive beast of destruction. On it's back was a few riders in a giant armored basket-like object. The military was already rolling into the scene, they fired off cannons, rockets, and other weapons. None were successful in damaging it, it just roared and continued on its path in destroying the city.
Now the building was coming down, Rodey ran as fast as he could, the floor became steep, he hopped off the building with a powerful leap that sent him flying across the gap that would have been his doom, he could see cars and people rushing to get away. The view only lasted a few minutes before he came crashing through the window of an office building, he rolled until a tin desk stopped him. He hit it with a loud bang, stumbling to his feet Rodey spotted another beast crawling out of under the building he was just on.
"A full assault?" He questioned himself, attacks like this were rare. With haste, he ran forward towards the beast. It wasn't hard to land upon it, he hopped from the office building towards the beast, it was coming in for a full charge on that very building. Rodey unsheathed his swords and let out a chuckle as he came down upon the head of the beast. He held his blades to the side, ready to attack, as he ran up it's back, charging at the riders who were pointing at him in a panic.
They had no facial features, only golden yellow eyes that were oval-shaped. They were like shadows, they looked like nothing but darkness, not composed of skin, just a shadow. Rodey cared less, he was going to find out when the blades sink into them.

(end he he, the next chapter gets violent. If you wanna know where to find it, leave me a message. It's still in the making.)
