• Hey, the name's Travis Tenki, don't ask... it's my father's last name. I grew up here in the USA....boredom is the least of my worries...Anyway I wanted to tell you a story about how my normal life changed into something...scarier.

    Matter of fact it started the day before my birthday and I was at school...


    A friend of mine name Zack used to bug me about it...We where in class, I already done my school work, and was talking... it was kind of a loose class room...(we don't do much work there...)

    Zack:     "Man, I can't believe that your Birthday is tomorrow!" xd

    Me: "I know, I know, you don't have to remind me every minute of the day." stare

    Zack: "But you know your parents aren't going to be there so why not have a party there?" biggrin

    Me: "And then have to clean up a big mess afterward? Nah, I think I'll pass." stare

    Zack: "Man, you're too nice for your own good. Live a little!" razz

    Me: "I'm not like you." stare

    The bell rings and I gather my stuff and head out the class room... I decided to head to my locker to get the rest of my stuff...Zack was following me to my locker...

    Zack: "You sure you don't wanna do anything this weekend?" O.o

    Me: "Nah, I'm cool... I'll just hang out at the house tomorrow..." -.-

    Just then another one of friends shows up behind me, her name is Tina...

    Tina: "Zack, leave Travis alone. He doesn't have to do anything if he doesn't want to..." <.<

    Me: "Thanks Tina." smile

    I closed my locker after getting all my stuff I needed from it...

    Me: "Well, I'll guess I'll see you guys later then?" ^.^

    Tina: "You are going to meet us at the mall, right?" =/

    Me: "When I can...if I can..." stare

    Zack: "Dude, your parents are barely there! so there shouldn't be an 'if' to it!" -_-

    I waved goodbye and left the school building. I went over to the bike rack to unchain my bike and then rode it back home....At home the door was locked, as usually, and the house was dark. I used my key to unlock the door and brought my bike into the house.... I turn on the lights and turn off the house alarm...

    The house is nice, an upstairs, a dinning room, Kitchen, living room...etc... everything a house needs except... That it was mostly empty. My mother works at night and my father works during the day and sometimes they both work over time, even though they don't need too....I know I'm in high school but.....

    I then notice while I was putting my bike to the side that there was a blinking message on the phone....I push a button on the phone to play the answering machine...

    The Answering Machine:     "You have two messages, message one: "Hey Travis, I'm sorry, I won't be able to come home tonight, I cooked some food for you in the fridge, my boss had an emergency meeting in Japan...I'll try to get back by tomorrow. Sorry sweety."
    Message two: "Travis, this is your dad, it seems that things didn't go well here in New York. They want me to stay another day. I promise I will try to get home by tomorrow as soon as I can." End of messages.. "

    You might say my parents have their own lives to worry about.... but they never seem to have time to deal with the real deal now, can they?

    Me: "Why do they say they're coming back when they aren't. They done something like this before....Doesn't matter anyway..."

    I head up the stairs to go to my room and set down my bag on the floor.....

    Me: " Oh, yea...it's the weekend now."

    I already done my homework, so I sat down at my desk in my room and turn on the computer. While I was checking my e-mail and some other things, I heard a noise from down stairs....

    Being in the house by myself, I knew there wasn't anyone here...but I got up to check down stairs anyway...When I got down there, there was nothing there....The front door is closed and locked....I look around in the rooms just to make sure....but like I said...no one was there...

    Me: "Hmm, I thought I heard foot steps... It must be in my head." O.o

    I went back up stairs to my room to change my clothes and then I turn off my computer.... I headed back down stairs and grab my bike....I looked around just to make sure there wasn't anyone else in the house...after that I turn off the lights in the house and left out the door...making sure it was locked behind me...

    I then hop on my bike and head to the mall to meet up with Zack and Tina....They are my two closest friends after all...

    When I got to the mall, making sure to lock my bike on the bike rack, I headed to the gaming area they had....Tina and Zack where already there...

    Zack: "What took you so long?" biggrin

    Me: "Nothing, just felt like taking my time, that's all." smile

    Tina: "Ok, let's just do what we came here for, to shop." ^.^

    Me: "Shop?" O.o

    Zack: "Hey, it was Tina's idea! She's the one who wanted to buy you a gift!" >.>

    Tina: "HEY!" >.<

    Tina then hits Zack in the arm...

    Me: "You were going to buy me a gift, eh?" ^.^

    Tina laughs uneasy, while Zack is rubbing his arm....

    Me: "Well, I guess we can go shopping. I already got money from my folks." >.>

    Zack: "Hey, if you guys got the money that's fine with me! Let's go!" biggrin

    Zack pushes me forward...Tina follows behind us...

    We shop around for a few hours, I found a game I wanted to get for a while now and Tina bought her gift but she won't tell me what it is...She says I have to wait till tomorrow...

    Soon it got pretty late and I had to head back to the house....after saying goodbye to my friends, I hop on my bike and rode it back to my house, but on the way there I heard something following me... At first I thought it was a dog so I rode my bike a little faster but when I turned around to see what was behind me....There was nothing there...I paused for a moment just to make sure there wasn't anything there...Then I continue to ride my bike back to the house... Just as I got to the door of the house, I heard that noise again and turn around quickly to find out what it was....but there was nothing there...at that moment I thought it was best not to leave the house for the rest of the night....(Wish I listen to that voice....)

    I unlocked the door hurried inside, closed and locked it and made sure the alarm was on just to be safe....I put away my bake in the near by closet... and turn on the lights in the rooms I went in....I headed to the kitchen because I was hungry...making sure the lights where on, I open the fridge to see what my mother had cooked this time...Nothing unusually this time...

    Just then I heard scratching at the back door from the kitchen....I looked out the window, turn on the back light, to see if anything was out there....I couldn't see much cause it was dark outside and it only shown the back porch....but there was nothing there...
    Me: "Ok, I know we don't have any cats or dogs...so maybe it's some of the wild life out back?" =/

    In the back of my head I heard a voice say to me, NOT to go out there in look....but another voice said, it might be one of the cute wild life, like a deer...or maybe something else like a raccoon or possum...but what ever it is it's better to confront it now, or be scared of it later...

    I decide to get a flashlight and a bat just in case....And I open the back door....
    Using the flashlight, I sweep around the yard....unlucky for me, our yard was pretty big...I wish my father would of put a fence up, but he and mom like the woods and wild life so much they didn't do that....There is also a small pond in our back yard as well...there used to be fish in there but I'm not sure anymore, I think the wildlife might of ate them....As I was scanning the yard, I got bored and walked out to the porch a little to be able to see the far end of the yard....Thinking there was nothing out there, I was about to go back in the house when I heard a rustle...I flash the flashlight over to some bushes where a swear I heard the noise come from...I sweep the bushes with the flash light when I happen to glance over what looked to be eyes....I quickly went back to that spot but there was nothing there....I got a little worry...

    Me: "...That's weird...I thought something....was there..." O.o

    Unable to help myself, I hop off the porch and went closer to the bush I saw the eyes at...At first I thought it was something else...but then I thought it was a raccoon and decided to head back...I turn around and took a step away from the bush when I heard a growling noise right behind me....I turn around quickly to see a... dog?

    Me: "What the heck! Where did you come from??" O.O; eek

    But then I soon notice that it was growling at me....and what happen next scared the living life out of me....at first I thought there was only one.... but then another dog came up from my side and then another one from the other side....

    Me: "What the....ok....now, I better get back to the house...." sweatdrop

    Just I was about to take a step backwards, the dog in front jumped at me...lucky I had the bat and was able to hit the dog and run toward the back door...but then two more dogs show up and they blocked the back door...with flashlight in hand and bat in the other hand I was ready to fight them off...or so I thought....when another dog try to attack me I try to hit him with the bat but he bit into the bat and broke it into pieces...right then I knew it was time to run....and so I did...right into the forest....it was the only thing open....I figure I run around and then head back home and lock the door.....but as I was running I notice something...the dogs weren't normal dogs...As I was having a hard time running and trying to not hit any trees or trip over anything the dogs where just weaving threw it like nothing...as if they where shadows....and they where keeping up with me....even though I used to be in track....WHY DID I QUIT???

    I used to be good at track too...but it seem to upset everyone else and I guess I left and never looked back...Even the teacher wanted me to change my mind...but I never did....I kind of wish I was in track still...it was fun....instead I'm running for my life, in the dark, in the forest, by dark looking dogs with red eyes....

    Me: "Wait, red eyes?

    [But before I could think about it, I ended up tripping over an over grown branch...I rolled over to the ground and down a small hill and ended up losing my flashlight....I zoned out for a moment when I realized that the dogs that where chasing me had me surrounded....I finally notice that those dogs where shadow looking monsters with red eyes and at that moment I fear that I was going to die and it was going to be in the news....young boy dies before his birthday...found eaten by wolves....etc....and all I had to say at that moment was...

    Me: " Great, I'm going to be eating by wild dogs right before my birthday...some life I have." crying

    Just then a few monster dogs jumped at me at that moment, and I could only cover my face with my arms and wait for it to be over....but then something happen....

    A flash of light come out of no where and next thing I knew the dogs hit the ground with a thump! At first I wasn't sure what was going on...but I moved my arms to see someone or some person standing in front of me...before I could say anything the dogs started to attack that person and they person was taking them out like a hero in a movie....but only right in front of me and it's not a movie....I freak out when I saw the person or who ever it was hit the dogs with their fist and the dogs started to turn to dust....As a result after the person was done, I was gone...I ran all the way back to my house...even though I was kind of hurt...when I saw the back door it was a gleam of light to me. I ran in and closed and locked it behind me....There was no way I was going to meet some crazy person who just defeated a pack of dogs with their fist!

    But as soon as I turn around, to be glad that I'm back home....there was someone already in my house...it was the same person who just defeated the dogs! How do I know? Well...there is the blood stains on her shirt and all....

    at that moment I notice it was a girl....she smiled at me as she was wiping her hands on a towel after washing them in the sink....


    Girl: "Hey, what took you so long?"


    I was freaking out at that moment now....


    Me: "WHO THE HECK ARE YOU!?! And how did you get in my house?!?" eek


    The girl kind of ignored me for a moment... she was looking around the kitchen as if she was searching for something.....I notice she was kind of young looking like she was still in high school but her clothing made her look like a skater/fighter person....but it was simple to know she is from the USA...but maybe a bit out of town?


    Girl: "Nice house, I wish my home was this pretty. Ah, well, you can't all get lucky, am I right?" >.>


    Me: "Hey! I asked you how you got here!" scream


    Girl: "Chill, I'm not your enemy, Travis. You outta be thankful that I save your life from the Kokuei Wolves." smile

    Me: "Wait...how do you know my name?" eek sweatdrop

    Girl: "Oh, sorry, where are my manners. My name is Jessica and I'm here to pick you up." biggrin

    Me: "Pick me up??" surprised eek question

    Jessica, the girl, got closer to me....I took a step back, scared at what she might do....

    Jessica: "Well, I was suppose to get you tomorrow, but then I didn't expect Him to pull a stunt like this today...." -_- sweatdrop

    Me: "Him???" O.o;;;

    Jessica kind of shook her head and sighed....

    Jessica: "Never mind, I'll explain it later, but first we need to get you to Earthain right away." ^_^

    Jessica then goes over to the back door and she pulls out a card from her pocket and pushes something on her arm before she slides it on the same thing....then she grab the door knob...

    Girl: "Come on, Unless you wanna get attack by the 'dogs' again..." >.>

    Me: "But that just leads back out into the yard!"

    Jessica: "Or does it?" ^_^

    Jessica then opens the door and a blast of light comes from the door.....as I look at the swirling light, Jessica grabs my arm and pulls me into it....for a moment everything was white, like a flash of light but when I reopen my eyes I notice it was sunny outside...and we where in a field outside....Jessica is standing next to me...

    Jessica: "Travis, welcome to Earthain, home of the Universal Elements."

    Me: "Home of the what....?" eek o.o

    I then looked around and notice a creature grazing, then over the hill I see a giant stand up and just then in the sky a see a few dragons flying right over my head....

    Jessica: "So, what do you think?" 3nodding .......O.o

    I then pass out.... XO
