• Luna looked around and saw the other her shivering in the hallway, dripping wet. The boy in front of her looked like her little brother John, except he wasn't bleeding and he looked fine from his earlier fall down the stairs. John was grinning at the other her in a bad way. The other her lunged at John and clasped her hands around his throat.
"You little brat! I wish you'd just die!"
"No, stop it!" Luna screamed as she rushed to stop the other her. She tripped on something and crashed into the other her. Luna landed hard on the floor as the other her gasped and stood up. John rolled over and coughed, trying to get away from the other Luna at the same time. Luna covered her ears as the other her screamed. She rushed into Luna's room and came out clutching a shard of the mirror she had shattered earlier. She put the shard against the wall.
"John." He looked at the other Luna with fear in his eyes. Luna saw the other her smile with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"I love you." Too late, Luna realized what the other her was going to do. She slammed her head onto the shard. Now it was Luna's turn to scream. She watched helplessly as she killed herself slowly and painfully. The other her collapsed. She heard John scream and rush downstairs. Luna shut her eyes, hoping that it would all just disappear.
"Make it go away, make it go away." She chanted, hoping, praying, that she was only dreaming. She heard footsteps and opened her eyes. Her Mother and Father were there now. Her father picked the other her up. Luna saw the other her move her hand up to her chest. The glass shard was still in her hand.
"NO!!!" Luna screeched as the other her plunged the shard into her chest. Luna screamed as intense pain coursed through her body. Luna managed to stumble down the stairs without tripping. When she got to the bottom of the steps, she fell on her knees, trying not to faint. Luna felt her mother shake her a little. Luna leaned against her mother and, in that gentle cradle, fell asleep.
    * * *

Luna woke up and tried to open her eyes. Intense pain lanced through her head.
"Okay, bad idea." Luna groaned. She heard someone open a door.
"Are you alright, Miss Tsukina?" Luna tried to pinpoint the woman's voice.
"Where am I?" Luna felt someone prop her up.
"You're in the hospital. Somehow you managed to stab yourself in the heart, head, and side when you were going down the stairs in your house, all without leaving any mark on your skin."
"But I didn't do anything to myself. The last thing I remember i calling the ambulance because my brother fell- Well, was accidentally pushed, down the stairs, and then POOF! Nothing."
"Interesting. You seem to have partial amnesia." Luna gasped.
"My brother, is he all right?!"
"Yes, he went home on Tuesday morning."
"That's impossible. Today is Monday. I remember because the birds wake me up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays." Luna heard a mix between a tsk and a giggle.
"Miss Tsukina, you've been in a coma for three days. Your brother didn't want to leave because he was so worried about you."
    "What...?"
"Your injuries on top of the surgery put you into a coma for three days. Today is Thursday." Luna let this sink in. Something flashed in her mind. A white-haired boy, maybe 5 or 6, walking up the stairs in her house. Luna put him to the back of her mind for now.
"Um, excuse me? Are you still there?" The only thing to answer her was the creak of the wind against the building. She felt around herself to see if she could find something to call the nurse back. She found one and pushed the button. She waited for a minute, then pressed the button again.
"EXCUSE ME!" Luna yelled, trying to get someone's attention. She heard the door open.
"Yes, Miss? Is something wrong?" It was a man's voice this time.
"Um, I was wondering why I can't see, could you tell me?"
"Your head is bandaged from the operation. It should be able to come off in an hour, I believe. I'll be right back, I'm just going to bring the doctor here so he can answer your questions."
"A-alright..." Luna heard him walk away. She laid down and thought about the boy she had remembered. He looked familiar to her, and right when she thought she had it, someone sneezed. Luna sat up quickly.
"Who's there? You can stay as long as you don't hurt me or the people working here." Luna heard a little boy laugh. She gasped as she remembered the boy she thought she knew. She jumped as the door to her room opened with a creak.
"Miss Tsukina? I'm glad to see you're awake."
"You sound familiar... Arthur, are you playing a trick on me?"
"No, Miss. I have a younger brother who would be about your age. We're pretty much twins. He might be the one you're thinking of."
    "Then are you Jason?"
"Yes. It's very nice to finally meet you, Luna. Arthur has told me a lot about you." Luna felt a hand grasp hers. She shook hands with Jason before she said anything.
"What has he said about me?"
"I assure you, only good things."
    "Hmph. Suspicious."
"I was told you have questions about the operations and what happened to you?"
"Oh, yeah. Can you tell me about the injuries I supposedly gave myself?"
"Well, you somehow sustained injuries in your head and chest with no entry wound. You also stabbed yourself on something wooden, maybe a handrail in your house, and that wound was normal. Meaning there was an entry wound. We had to perform surgery on the wounds in your head and chest though."
"Oh. And why was I in a coma for three days?"
"We still aren't sure about what caused that. Which is why we're happy to see you awake."
"How much longer until I can get these bandages off?"
"About 30 minutes. You should rest while you're waiting."
"Okay..." Luna heard Jason leave, then she laid back down on the bed. She tried her hardest to stay awake, but lost, and fell into gentle sleep.
