    Hinamizawa, a quiet peaceful place. A place for people to live their lives. Well, that's what some may have said. But there is a curse that runs through this place. The Shrine Gods curse. It happens every Cotton Year Festival. One goes missing, while the other dies. People are afraid of the Shrine God. But not me. I am Hana Ryuugu. And this is my story...

    "Haana~ It's time to go to school!"
    Rena's voice broke the silence in the house. I brushed my hair behind my ears and smiled at my reflection. My first time going to school. Rena's school that is. I walked out of my room and down the stairs. We began to walk toward the school.
    "I can't wait to show you my school! I want you to meet my friends too! There's Keiichi, Mion, Shion, Rika, Satoko..." Rena said and began to list names.
    "Oh look! There's Keiichi and Mion now!" Rena said and began to run towards a brown haired boy and a green haired girl. "Mion! Keiichi-Kun! Good Morning!"
    I stood behind my sister and stared at Keiichi and Mion. They seemed shocked at what Rena told them. And as we walked to school, she kept telling them about me. Soon, we arrived at school. Even the students and teacher was shocked. Rena showed me Shion, Rika, and Satoko.
    "Good morning, it's nice to meet you." I said and smiled.
    "It's nice to meet you to, Hana-Chan." Rika said.
    I sat down next to Rena and looked around the room. How long would class go on? I want to see more of Hinamizawa. I blinked and closed my eyes for only a few minutes. Maybe if I fell asleep time would go faster.
