• She kicked off her shoes and threw her legs upon the table. Leaning back with her hands behind her head she gave a wolfish grin barring long sharp canines. Gold eyes sparkled with mischief.
"Mary..." I started but her eyes snapped dark and cold.
"She's dead." She said her voice a low dangerous growl.
"What can I call you?" I asked keeping calm.
"They want to call me Luna but I don't like that name... Call me Emerald or Em. It's lovely like me." Mary turned Emerald announced voice now childlike and friendly. Her eyes were still alert and deadly so I stayed wary of her.
"Emerald is very lovely darling." I said crossing a leg over the other.
She placed her hands in her lap before sliding her delicate feet off the table. Leaning forward her golden curls fell in front of her beautiful heart shaped face.
"Do you still love me Timothy?" she asked golden eyes filling up with tears.
"Of course! You're still my beautiful girl. We can fix you up and I-" Hands wrapped around my throat as she flung herself in my lap. Warm blood slid down my throat as she gripped it tighter.
"Don't try and fix me." She hissed.
The last sight I saw was my beautiful Mary turn into her new true form. Emerald she called herself... A monster in my eyes now no longer a gem. She lifted her head to howl as I closed my eyes to welcome death.
