• Magic, the mystical force that is constantly evolving thought out time. In the world, magic and science constantly went at it. Every time a scientist tried to explain magic, it would evolve. For magic resided in everything living and nonliving. It was an unseen force that could be used for many different acts. Magic, too many, is a tool but for some, as you will see, it’s a way of life.

“Jim wake up! The sci force is getting closer”

LT. Jim wakes up out of his bunker. He can hear sounds of gun fire in the distance which was bad considering their small arms didn’t make that much of noise.

“Status report!” shouts Jim at the unfortunate private while he quickly suits up.

“The clankers (drop ships) are within our sniper range and they are spewing out coffins (Infantry with robotic armor)” replies the private, “Sir you have a message as well.” He hands him a sealed envelope with a waxy shirdeken seal on it.

“So they have made their move and by the sounds of it, we’re losing. Head out private!” shouts Jim as he hurries along with the message in hand.

There are only four people on this base that use a special seal similar to the one on this message, LT. Major Nin, LT. Ken, Major Tank, and himself. They are an elite group of individuals that have, some way or another, won against impossible odds, paving their careers making the impossible possible. He opens the letter and finds things are a lot worse than he feared. LT. Major Nin had sent the message and it was a summons to join a four man team on a sneak and destroy mission. The letter had also said that they needed to meet at the base of the compound as soon as possible.

Distance meant nothing to Jim, he had a talent with teleportation magic that had spot on precision. It was this trick that saved his and his teams life many times over. He opens up a teleportation portal as he warps to the bottom of the ship.

“Bout time you decide to drop in on us” yells Nin as Jim appears. Jim looks around and notices who the other two members of the team are. It was the rest of the special seal members.

“Like I was saying before LT. Jim appeared, I selected ourselves for this mission because there is no way for any other team to do this within the short amount of time we have. We have known each other for more years than we care to count but, this one mission maybe our last! Last night my covert-ops teams uncovered a window of opportunity for us. They found a shipping vessel that LT. Ken had scrapped in a previous mission that had survived. This vessel had managed to get within their shields and it undergoing repairs. Now this may not sound great but here’s the good part. My team had hacked into the camera system of the shipping vessel. Jim, for your teleportation skill, you must need to see the area in which the portal is going to be at right?” he asks

“Yea but a simple picture isn’t going to do it. It would take…” Jim stops talking as Nin hits a button that brings up a live feed from the camera located in their trash dump. “That’ll do it” replies Jim.

“Here are your orders, Jim you will provide transport and to help with the extra fire power, Ken cause as much chaos as possible when it’s needed. Tank… You know what needs to be done. MISSION START!” He shouts.

Jim gets the portal up and on the hacked feed another portal opens up. All but Tank heads through the portal.

“All forces attack!” shouts Tank on the microphone right before he steps through.

The portal was a success but there were some complaints.

“Why couldn’t we just teleported a bomb?” asks Ken while climbing out of the sludge.

“Science has found a way to negate magic with a microorganism. That lives in the paint that they use,” starts Tank, “The reason we can use magic in here is because they incinerate their garbage. Normally they repaint every so often but it looks like the shipment vessel had the paint on It.” he finishes right as a door opens up nearby.

Two workers with paint buckets come walking in. They notice the magic troops but they fall quickly. Alarms start going off all over the ship as they make their escape.

    SHINK!

The group gets shoved forwards as the massive trash door falls behind three of them.

“Quickly! He knew what this mission had called for, let’s get with the mission” yells Nin as they start running down the hall.

They keep running blasting what they need to along the way, keeping them alive when they came across a door marked [POWER ROOM].

“You guys go on… This is my turn to shine.” Ken motions on.

The last two just nod and gives him some covering fire while he gets into the room. They run off down the path to their target. They climb on a catwalk above a barrack when a massive explosion rocks the ship. The explosion knocks Nin off the catwalk they were walking on right into the middle of the troops.

“Go on and remember the plan LT. Jim!” shouts Nin, “I’ll hold them off”

Jim nods as he heads off. The sound of gunfire echoes across the hall as he turns a corner and finds the Core Room. He busts down the door and he looks up at the huge Anti-matter sphere of the core.

“This is what I do best” he grins while charging up a magical blast.

As he launches the burst the door opens up as the room fills with coffins. The magical burst of energy hits the core right he gets tagged with tranquilizer darts. The resulting explosion from the two energies is seen from miles away and it leaves a crater a couple football fields deep by about the same wide.

    Four Months Later…

The war is over and both sides are working together to clean up the rubble. They plan on creating a monument to honor those who have died during the war. This monument is suppose to be a peace offering between the two groups. Suddenly, a portal opens up and deposits four rather beaten up shapes right at the camp of a cleaning crew. These four people look up and smile, they have came back from impossible odds just to prove it was possible. They are noticed rather quickly and evacuated to a nearby hospital. After all… Magic does some weird things…
