• After what he said to me, I never looked at him the same. The school day eventually ended, the shrill bell sounding like perfect harmony, each note echoing off the empty school corridor walls. As I was usually late out of school, probably because I was just a slow walker, or maybe it was because I just didn't like people, the school was empty. I never liked my classmates... I especially didn't like him.
I walked out of the front gate of Jigoku High School and began the terrifyingly dull walk home. I past the normal sites; the graveyard, the flowershop, the medical center and the Big House. I always thought about who could have lived in there, the gates whistling to me as I carried on the trek home.
As I approached my house, I could tell there was something wrong. The house was to quiet. The usual sound of dogs barking and children screaming with laughter had stopped, and had been replaced with an awkward silence.
"Mum? I'm home. And, more importantly, I'm hungry. I'm just gonna grab a Coke", I declared, peering up the stairs where I could start to hear an odd noise. It was like a shrill whistle. I sauntered over to the kitchen where the laminate floor seemed to stick to my feet, gripping them and then releasing with a tiny crack. I drank my Coke in front of the TV, Two and a Half Men was the obvious choice. I giggled to my self. Heh.. Keep on winning, Charlie.
I began to get a tad worried, so I decided to tip-toe upstairs to see my mother. Usually, there was an array of greetings. "How was school?" "How's your girlfriend, Romeo?" Those were the usual ones.
I pushed past the door of my paren'ts room, and I was definitely not prepared for what I was about to see.

    Blood.
    Dead, mutilated bodies.
    Slit throats.
    Necks: Twisted and broken.
