• WAYFF? Part 2! Chapter 1- 13 is the best!

It's been a faithful 14 years since the deadly battle with Paradox and the destruction of New York city. Deep into the country side, a new house has been built, and is populated by a small number of three. One being our Hero Sash and his new wife Marina. They married almost half a year ago, and those days have been peaceful and quiet. A member keeps the couple company.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Happy Birthday Luna!" A cheerful Sash and Marina said, surprising the new teenager. Luna is a 13 year old girl with red hair and multiple black streaks all the way down to her hips. She was born with Heterochromia iridium, and has two different eye colors. The one on the right is blood red, and the one on the left is jet black. She stands 5'5, and is one step away from hitting C sized breast cups. Luna doesn't stick to a certain style, because she wears anything that she thinks will look good on her. For now, she is wearing a red shirt that seems a little too big for her. She is also wearing Jet black jeans with red and black shoes.

"Mom.....Dad....." Luna knew they had something up their sleeves, for they were acting odd the entire day up until now. "Thank you. I don't know what to say.....the cake on the table moved me..." Luna was born on May 16th, so it was close to the end of the school year. It was in the middle of the week, but for her birthday, they let her stay home. For the cake, it consisted of her favorite flavor, chocolate. In certain spots were yellow icing, and on the inside was ice cream. A design of the moon and the sun lay on top, and the words, "Happy Birthday Luna! We love you!" were baked as cookies. "Mom....how long did it take you to make this?" She asked.

Marina had to pause for a moment. "Three days...." She said, giving a wide smile afterward. Luna was flabbergasted, and gave her mother a great big hug. Marina looked down and rubbed Luna's head. "Aw, thank you hun."

Sash waited while the two hugged each other. It made him wonder if they even noticed his existence at the time. He took in a deep breath, and waited another two minutes before they let up. "That's not all we have for you." He pulled out a box with red wrapping on it. The wrapping consisted of yellow and white as well, with a huge star in the middle. There was a note on the top with the words, "Happy Birthday! We'll always love you!" in pink. Sash had to spend most of his money on it while Marina pitched in with a 20 or so at some point. "Open it." He said.

Luna took the box carefully, not wanting to damage it if she dropped it. While she began hacking at the wrapping with her fingers, Sash peered over at Marina with a grin on his face. Marina knew that look anywhere, and gave it back. When paper had littered the floor around, a 4G AT&T phone was present. Luna lit up with joy, and smiled at Sash. "Oh dad..." Like Luna like to do in the past, she would give him a great big hug around the neck, and almost break his spine. For some reason, the girls always went for his spine.

Sash tried his hardest to not pry Luna off, and surprisingly, he succeeded. "Don't worry about it." He said after she unlatched from his neck.
Luna smiled as Marina looked at the cake, and snapped her fingers. The candles were lit almost instantaneously. Getting the memo, Luna bent down and made a wish. The second after, she took in a deep breath, and blew on the candles. Her breath quickly extinguished the flames.

Sash took this time to cut the cake into pieces. Luna who couldn't wait, took the first slice and began eating the flavorful cake. Sash looked at her with a confused look, but shrugged it off. 'Jesus girl! Wait a minute!' He thought as he took a piece for himself. Marina helped herself, and the family sat at the table to enjoy their time together. Sash was first to finish, because he had something to show Luna. "When you finish, meet me in the field." Sash walked out the back door, and walked out to the field.
Luna wondered what he had to show her. She finished second, leaving Marina at a table with dishes.

"......Pigs..." She said aloud when Luna was out of hearing distance. "I suppose I'm supposed to clean this up. Oh well...." It's not like she didn't have to wash the dishes all the time, even on her Birthday, which was not in human months.

Luna stepped through the grass of the clean yard. On the left was a beautiful garden of flowers, and on her right was a garden of vegetables. Sash took care of the vegetable garden, while Marina took care of the flower patch. The walk only took two minutes, and she came upon an open field that Sash would sometimes camp out in. He would use a tent, or just lay out with a sleeping bag. The animals would bother him, and he would always shoo them off. "So....what's this all about dad?" She asked.

Sash turned around to face her. "Something important." He closed his eyes, and spoke. "14 years ago, before me and your mother were together, a man named Paradox stood against us and Earth. This battle was tough, and so many people died.....millions to be exact. He came so close to killing us both.....and it pushed us both to our limits. When he pushed me off the edge of my limits....I just...ascended higher and higher. My strength...my abilities...my body....all became so much stronger. This....is called ascension." Sash appeared in the blink of an eye, above the trees. His eyes were changing. The whites of his eyes had changed to a jet black, and the color changed to red and yellow. while this happened, a wave of pure power lashed outward, and broke the trees backward. A cloud of dust flew outward from under him, causing the wind to pick up almost instantly. Luna closed her eyes to block dirt from flying into her eyes. When she looked up, Sash now had horns on his head that pointed forward, the color being red. His hair color was mostly black, but a few streaks were white. He had three strands of hair that were longer than the rest. One covered his right eye and extended down to his collar bone, and the other two were on the sides of his head, coving his ears, and had stretched down to his chest. "And this is how I turned out." He let gravity do its job, and pull him down to the ground below. He landed in a crouching position right in front of her just as she had fallen back on her bottom.

"Heh...." He stood up fully and helped her up. "So, what do you think about it?" He asked.
Luna was astonished by the display, and she smiled, tugging on his hair. "Wow! That's incredible!" Luna giggled as she reached for his horns, and suspended herself from them.
Sash felt a sudden urge to swing her off, but the very side that took over when Luna was born stayed in control. "Ha-ha....ow...." He said, grabbing her arms and lifting her up. "Don't do that." He said, squinting at her.

Marina watched from the patio of the back door. She leaned against the wall and smiled slightly. "He surely has changed.....a lot I must admit." Though thinking this, the display of thinking on her face took over. "And he's so much stronger...." She said.
Despite Sash's attempts to keep Luna from suspending herself from his horns, they were at fault. She grabbed them and gave them a mighty tug. "AH!" Sash swung his head to get her off. "AH! Get it off!" He screamed as he kept swinging her.

"Wee! Keep going dad!" Surprisingly, she found it fun that he swung her. The harder he swung, the stronger her grip got. "Alright, I'm done." She dropped down and laughed, running back into the house. She dashed past Marina, and slammed the glass door shut.
Sash had the look of surprise on his face, mixed with anger. "That little...." He sighed out of pain and walked back to the patio. "Never.....again...." He said, a small amount of blood trickled down his face. "You're doing it next time.... He said.

Marina watched him walk slowly past the kitchen. "The food is done." She said quickly.
Almost instantaneously, Sash did a backtrack and the blood stopped immediately. "You made it! You made it didn't you?!" He asked. He slipped into the kitchen and opened the pot, taking the almost boiling heat to the face like it was nothing. "Yes!" He slammed the lid back on and jumped up in joy. "I call first dibs!"

"No! Luna gets it since it is her birthday. Did you forget?" She asked, placing a hand on her hip.

Sash gave her a look that signaled death and destruction to rain on her. She gave him a look that shot back the same signal. "Fine...only because it's her birthday." He said.

A half hour later into the day, the dishes were clean, and everyone had eaten their dinner. It was around 9:30 when Luna started her shower. She always took a shower before bed. After a quick shower, and a hug and kiss g'night to her parents, she slid under her covers and watched a bit of television. Nothing worth the time of looking had shown that night, and she went to bed early. The lights of the patio creaked into her room, and the crescent moon began to show slight amounts of light. She would usually creep downstairs and turn off the patio light, but that wouldn't work. Her father had excellent hearing. The light wasn't too bright, but not too dim. It reflected off her mirror, and made it disperse a bit. Her stuffed animal which was a blue and yellow manta ray , lay on top of her mirror.

Sash looked at Marina, who could barely keep her eyes open. "Come on, get some rest. We have plans tomorrow." He said, helping her up the steps.
Marina whispered something in her sleep, which sounded like, "I'm fine." Of course, she was trying too hard.

An hour later, Sash stood on the back patio, a book in his hand, and the patio light giving him good visibility. It was an adult book, something Luna couldn't read. He flipped the page, and half a minute after, he flipped again. "This book is getting dull." He said to himself as he closed it, and set it down on the table in front of him. He always realized that the patio light was off when he came out to read. He decided to shut it off to save energy. A quick minute later, he was in something comfortable, and in the bed. "Good night my already sleeping wife....." He rolled his eyes and shut his eyes.

The morning came quick, and Luna was already up. She was eager to get to school and meet up with her friends. When she came downstairs, she was wearing a red undershirt with a black over shirt. It seemed too big, but she always liked that. She hated wearing tight things. She wore black sweat pants, even thought it was spring. Her hair remained straight. "Bye mom, bye dad!" She said, shutting the door behind her.

"Bye! See you later!" Sash said, waving to her. "Well....now that she's out...we should get ready." He said.

Marina groaned and stormed up the steps. "I hate interviews!!" She yelled down.
Luna always flew to school. The reason she never used the bus, is because she lived outside the city. It was a new city called Gyro city, a place where technology has advanced to higher levels. It had a few sky scrapers, and buildings that ranged between 100 feet and 250 feet. Most people lived in luxurious homes with grand technology. Others lived in homes that would be able to go toe-to-toe with a four star hotel and beat it. She looked down and saw student filing into the school. She did a swan dive down to the ground and landed softly, not wanting to get dirt all over her clothes. She walked across the street and onto school campus. She always went in last to make sure no one would give her any problems. She didn't want to hurt anyone. Her friend Adele waited for her. She was a bit of an odd ball for some reason. Her eyes were white, but she could still see. Her hair color was a short and icy blue. She always wore a white polyester coat, even in the summer. For some reason, she was a flat chest girl, and never wore her pants the right way. Her pants were baggy black. Her shoes were white. She looked a bit lanky, but she could kick a grown mans a** up and down the block. "So.....anything happen for your birthday yesterday?" She asked, walking beside Luna.

"Nope, besides me getting a new cell phone....which I probably won't have a need for..." She said, examining it. "And a little lesson...." She said.

"Hm...at least you get cool things...and you have a hero for a father...." She said. "I'm gonna skip class again. My grades are way above passing anyway, so missing this test won't hurt it that much. I always breeze through the finals." She said.

Luna squinted at her. "Remind me to sit next to you when the time comes. See you soon." She said, walking into the classroom.

At home, Sash and Marina were ready to leave. "I'm gonna hate this....." He said as he sighed slightly. "So...." he said, glimpsing at Marina. "I guess this is a hear goes nothing situation?" He asked.

Marina nodded to him, and walked out the door.
