• T’was yet another morning in a desolate land, the sun rose in whichever direction it took a liking to. The horizon lay dotted with the jagged pillars that manifest themselves as silhouettes at this time of day due to the positioning of the sun. A lone tree stands at the center of the rather featureless land. The ground was white and plagued with cracks and crevices that stretch off as far as one can perceive. A single leaf falls from the tree. The cracks begin to slowly recede to the central point of this otherwise featureless wasteland. Another leaf falls. The cracks proceed to recede at an even more rapid pace. The ground slowly fades into a yellow tint. Another leaf falls. The pillars at the horizon begin to rattle as the sun stops in its place abruptly. Another leaf falls. The pillars crumble. The sun retreats behind the horizon. Another leaf falls. The cracks begin to flee to the bottom of the tree to the point the ground is blank with both perfection and imperfection. A leaf falls. The ground is a gleaming gold. The tree stands alone. The horizon is flattened the sky is filled with the gleaming image of tiny speckles that are the stars. Another leaf falls. The stars begin to release cracks along the night sky themselves, each star being the origin of a stream of cracks that flow outward to meet other stars. As the cracks continue to appear, the sky appears less and less endless and begins to take the form of a dome, the cracks flowing through the sky constantly. Another leaf falls. A fragment of the sky falls and crashes into the ground. Another leaf falls. The otherwise starry sky begins to collapse like a porcelain spherical orb enveloping a plane of yellow. As the fragments crash into the golden ground, they simply disappear just as a water drop would hit an endless pool of still, motionless liquid. The golden ground rippled for a split second. The dark sky falls, revealing an eerie white. The final leaf falls. The sky ignites in a frenzy of white engulfing all in its path, leaving nothing but white. At the center of the endless blankness stands the silhouette of the leafless tree. The tree falls and fades into white. The world is purely white. A certain individual awakens in the white. The individual glares at his hands and feet then at the endless whiteness. The individual dies from lack of sustenance. The individual fades to white just as the tree did. Another individual stands to take the originals place. It too dies from lack of sustenance. A third individual stands to take the second’s place. The newest of individuals stands where the tree has fallen and sits on the ground. The third individual dies from an overwhelming nostalgia. A fourth individual stands in the place of the third. It dies of both an overwhelming nostalgia and grief over the third. First, Second, Third, and Fourth. A fifth shall not rise in fear of death. The fifth lays on another plane, choosing to not exist in the plane where its brethren died. The fifth stands with the sixth in this other plane, where a tree stands. The second tree realizes the first has perished, and fears its own fate. The fifth and the sixth individuals comfort the tree. The second tree is happy. The fifth and sixth individuals both die of age. The second tree is sad. The second tree bares a fruit. The fruit is a gleaming spectrum of all the colors. The fruit falls from the tree fully ripened. The seventh individual is born from it. The second tree told the seventh individual the tales of the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth individuals. The seventh individual denies the idea of death, and chooses to live forever. The second tree is happy. The seventh individual complains that he is lonely. The second tree spawns another fruit. The second fruit was an eerie black in a strange spiral shape. The second fruit falls and the eighth individual is born. The seventh and the eighth individual dance happily. The second tree tells the eighth individual the tale of the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth individual. The eighth individual asks the tree why the seventh individual hasn’t joined the others. The second tree answers with the seventh individual’s request. The eighth individual claims that the seventh individual is being selfish. The second tree doesn’t know such a word. The seventh individual dies by the eighth individual’s hand. The second tree is sad again. The second tree has learned that those who are selfish die by the eighth individual’s wrath. The ninth individual was born from the remains of the seventh. The ninth was happy alongside the eighth. The second tree has told the tale of the individuals that came before the ninth individual. The ninth individual despised the concept of wrath that the eighth individual has established. The ground was no longer white. The eighth individual died of illness. The ninth individual felt no sorrow or pity for the eighth. The second tree was sad. There were two trees, two fruit, and nine individuals in all. The ninth individual chops down the second tree in a fit of insanity. The second tree did nothing but give. The ninth individual had decided to take. The ninth individual dies of age and loneliness. Two trees, two fruit, and nine individuals have all perished from the two planes of existence. Both planes have fallen into a nothingness of white. The two planes begin to be the equivalent of zero. Zero added to zero equals zero. The two planes are now one. Two is equal to one now. The second individual is in fact the first individual now. Therefore the third individual becomes the second individual. Three is equal to two now. If two equals one, and three equals two, then three is equal to one. The third individual is in fact the same as the first. The fourth individual becomes the second. Four is equal to two now, therefore an individual’s position is now equal to its half. The sixth is now equal to the third and the third is equal to the first. Therefore the first six individuals are all now one. The seventh, eighth and ninth are three individuals together, therefore they are one individual in the end. All nine are one. All planes are one. All trees are one. All fruit are one. All in the end will soon join together as one.
