• Love.
    It's an overused word.
And the people who have finally found the meaning to it different than what the media dictates are left hurt, crying, pained.
They can't be with the one they love.
We're constantly taught that everything works well, that the prince will rescue the princess and they'll live happily ever after. But that's rarely the case.
You'll run into people whose loved ones hurt them, and yet they still succumb to their love.
You'll find people who will watch their loved one be with someone else, every day of the week, and not once will they make a peep; doing so only makes it worse.
And for those that do, it usually causes strife.
Love is overrated, based on what the media shows. It never is true. You do not see the real broken hearts, and you never see real people. All you see are actors, who live secluded away from reality, and are sugarcoated from what really is love.
Of course, they will also repeatedly fail to see what real love is.
Real love is faithfulness, even when the person is unfaithful to you
Love is being supportive of their every decision, even when it hurts you.
Love is not being afraid to tell them how you really feel.
Love is hurting on the inside, and smiling on the outside.
Love is not giving up if you truly believe that he/she is the one for you.
Love is defined by those four letters, not what the media shows in the heavy majority of its films, televisions, magazines, etc. It's what you see people struggle with every day, to survive. Love is what keeps you going, and it's what protects you.
Love is wanting to do anything to make the other person happy.
You never know what is going to come up; all you know is that no matter what, you're going to stick with it until the end. Love motivates you to do insane things. It can also cause you to kill yourself, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
But it doesn't matter what happens, because Love will always find a way to pay you back.
Love will give you thousands of supporting factors to keep the above from happening. Love is multi-talented and has a variety of ways to appear unto you.
Your friends will love you no matter what; they become a second family, and in some cases, a first. When your friends show you that they love you, it feels like you can survive anything, so long as you can feel that emotion again.
Love can be in the form of your teachers and educators. Opportunities given to you, by them, of which you're grateful. Some teachers have to put up with certain students for a number of years and end up becoming another person like family to said person.
    Love is desperation.
You'll do anything to please that one person, to make them happy. It's all about them, never about you. If they're happy with someone else, you'll gladly go along. If they're happy just being friends, then you'll smile and act as if everything's normal.
Sometimes, you'll want to prove to them that you love them. You'll go to extremes. Some people are unknowingly raped, thinking that they wanted sex because it would make that one other person happy- it's always about them, never you.
    Love is hiding your feelings.
All too often people are confused by what love is. They're told one thing, when in actuality, it's another. Some are taught it's a really attractive person; others it's the personality and charm. And a small smidgeon are told that they'll know it when it happens.
    Love is unconditional.
You could be cursed out by that person, and yet you'll still be there, listening, just glad that they're even talking to you. You're so desperate that being hit makes you happy because they made physical contact; being verbally abused at least showing that they're still willing to talk to you. And even when they've done something horrible, you'll still love them.
    Love makes you cry.
Because you can't be with them. Because they don't want to be with you. They don't know you exist. Their sexual orientation is different from yours they're not interested they're with someone else they knew your feelings and still chose to be with someone else. Whatever the reason, love cannot be had without tears.
Love makes you wish you could cry.
It's impossible to have all that emotion and not find a way to let it out without going insane. It's been tried before and quite frankly, it's not the best solution. The chest is heavy with pain and heartache and it's impossible to cry because your tears choose not to.
Love makes you change your mind about things and situations.
    Love hinders you
    Love helps you.
Love is a paradox where it contradicts itself with its values.
Love makes you hate it and want it at the same time. You'll have painful memories from it, but you'll want to keep them, because they're so sweet, innocent and pure. You can't stand the heartache, and yet you want it, because you feel it's the closest you'll ever get to having love. And that may be the reality for some.
Love varies person by person. It's sometimes thought of being one way, and others are told that way is right. Don' let anyone ever change your thoughts, fashions or ideas because they have a correction-complex.
Love is what you want it to be.
