I go to a catholic school so I am ridiculed every day fo not believing in God, so I wrote this and my English teacher let my read it to the class.

I don't believe in God.
Why is that so bad?
When you die you die
and I'm sorry if that makes you sad

My best friend is arabic
her family came here because they knew
that this is America
melting pot of the world

She is never excluded
in fact she goes to this school
I do not make fun of your religion
and yet yu treat me so cruel

I am so confused
I guess you just don't understand
that I am just like you
except for the fact that no one is holding my hand

and so now I hope that you will see
that I am still a person trying to be me

i don't understand why you would be treated badly just for not believing
I would think it would be the opposite
