Waiting in the dark surrounded in quiet
Waiting patiently in the darkness in gloom
Very soon it will be as loud as a riot
You pray to yourself that it won`t be your doom.
A spot of light fills the room
As you charge into the noise of battle
Deafening artillery goes off with a boom,
And the soldeirs around remind you like cattle
Gunshots go off, and soil goes flying
An explosion, someone near you screams
Above you jets scream by, the wounded are crying
It`s quite frightening if you know what I mean.
Bullets flying, soldiers dying
These bloodiest battles are made for
I can`t understand, although I`m tying,
To see what good can come from this war.

:] Ah! I love this.
It reminds me of a song I wrote a while back.
