• He's standing out my window
    A boombox in his hand
He just asked me to marry him
To run off to a new land

I would love to say yes
    Since we're both twenty
    Our true feelings we confess
    Is deep love and compassion

    I look at my ankle
    Visib chains keep me down
    I try to yell out
But from my mouth, no sound

    I tug at my chains
    I pull real hard
My heart filled with the pains
Of not being able to leave with my love

    I show him the chains
    His face now mortified
    He puts down his boombox
    And begins climbing inside

    He works on the chains
    To make their hold relaz
Pounding sounds from my locked door
And the sound from the boombox, a sax

"Rescue me" I whisper as he breaks the lock
My parents crashing at the door
    We gather my things
    Our hearts now soar

    As the door flies open
    I'm climbing out
    My parents shout
    And pull on my arms

"Rescue me!" I yell to him
    He pulls at my legs
    I'm almost free
Soon it will be him and me

    We escape with each other
    Hand and hand we run
"Our love will survive" He says
As we run towards the sun
