• We shiver in the wind,
    And huddle closer.
    Clinging to life,
    I wish we'd die faster.
    With me in your arms,
    I feel safe and warm.
Even though I know we have to go.
    As one final gust blows,
I lean up on my toes.
    "I love you." I say.
    But then you're swept away.
    I watch as you fall,
    and my heart sinks too.
    I wish I had died,
    Right then with you.
    Now I have to live,
    For just a few minutes,
    In this cold, wet world,
    Without you.
    My heart turns blue,
and the seconds feel like hours.
In the spring we'll be gone,
    Replaced with new flowers.
As I take my last breath,
    I fall to my death,
And land right next to you.
I'll always remember the love I had,
    For you.
