• My raven is gone and lost
    and for what it cost,
    wasn't worth what I paid
    so down I laid...

I lay my head down to sleep
but before I do I must weep
the feeling is so big and strong
wake me up and sound the gong

    here he comes, another bird
    my cries...he must have heard
my phoenix with his tears of pearls
let them fall into my locks and curls

he laid his head upon my own
in his cheery song, an empty tone
in his hand he took mine
    'would you be my valentine?'

I woke up from that little dream
and found him sitting next to me
he stroked my hair once or twice
and did so soft and nice

He looked at me with his deep blue eyes
    and we took to skies
flying together since that very day
and we shall be together, as it may
