Dark Angel
By: Kit Katy
Dark Angel, you spread your wings to me
But I respond by fleeing
Dark Angel, I don’t wish to come to heavens gate
This world we live in is paradise enough
Can’t I stay with my love?
The violence, hatred, and all that muck
I can take it all to become real tough
Dark Angel, send my message
Tell him that I won’t take advantage
I will be the Soul Protector,
The one who helps the life you’ve nurtured
In return let me be with my love,
Day after day I’ll watch over your world
Dark Angel tell me, please let me know if he agrees
Be the messenger instead
Don’t become my looming death
Dark Angel don’t take me away,
Let me reside to bring aid
To the Lord’s sanctuary

Description:
This poem was inspired by the song Angels by Morandi.
It's about a women asking the reaper to let her stay in exchange for protecting
the world. She wants to remain in the living world to see her loved ones, even if it means not being their in flesh and blood. - Date: 12/23/2008
