• All the memories come flooding back to me
Everything that I am and what I used to be.
A different person, an old version, an ancient sight to see.
I could barely believe that naive person was me.

I wanted to be a rockstar since I was a kid.
Play shows across the globe with all the best of my friends.
Now I'm a poet, I should've known it, this is how it's always been.
It's no small feat to rhyme with beat but this is where I win.

I'm no G-Shawty, yeah that's half my story,
You won't find me tagging any one city wall.
I wear a mask, face the facts, don't relax, don't give a crap,
I got real friends to catch me when I fall.

I always got adrenaline pumping through my young veins.
Always make sure the girls are looking when I'm playing at any games.
Maybe score some more fans when I play Battle of the Bands
Always on the lookout for guitarrists at any one of my Slams.

Believe it or not, I'd rather live at school.
Homework isn't that cool but my friends always rule.
I hate gangsters who act pimpin' with all of their jewels,
But I hate posers more, shoving and calling everyone a "foo".

I don't believe we are a true democracy
These days it's just another hypocracy.
But psyco-analysis on government isn't much of a hobby
I gotta move on, read on, there's more to the story.

I have tendacy to use excessive profanity
It's not how I was raised, blame modern society,
But now it's just another of many forms of expression
Yelling the F-word helps when dealing with repression.

Haters don't get that it's not right to be hating
Maybe send them overseas to get their minds straightened
Show them how hate causes wars over time,
Assuming of course that they come back alive.

I am a young teen, and I've a long way to go
But I'm almost fifteen, and I'm old enough to know
That the planet, my home, is tearing itself apart
But I don't know what happened to the love in our hearts.

There are no niggers, no beaners, no crackers,
Whoever came up with those were probably English slackers.
There is no African, Mexican, White Man,
There is only one and that is called Human!

I'm inspired by various musicians and bands
Only those who speak the truth through the mics in their hands.
Linkin Park, Rise Against, singing their truth into my head.
Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, and Hollywood Undead.

These words are the truth, they're the only thing I've said
Signed in blood and ink and by compassion I was lead.
With a cup of Pepsi and hatred at the wrong I was fed,
Set in my mind and in stone by a mechanical pen.

I don't really know who I should be, I am me,
I am free, what the hell do you want to see?
If you want me to be different then you'll have to pay a fee
Because I won't change, I'll stay the same, I am always Brian G.

I got a good heart, where on Earth should I start?
I takes only one person or two to light the spark
To ignite the light in our soul where once it was dark
The wind will whisper with righteousness, every dog in town will bark.

I will march down the street in the rain with bare feet
You can join the parade or cheer us on on T.V.
My momma will be crying when she looks up and sees me
I'm her son, I'll never be gone, I'll change the world with this beat.

The elderly will rejoice at all hard times gone,
Even children will be singing along to this song.
One day it will all be over, we will all be one,
One race, one world, under one sky and one sun.

These notes are never ending, this beat won't be too long,
A destiny approaches, and this song has barely begun.
One universe, one sun, one world, one race.
I will take off this mask once everybody has one face.
