• “ BLANK is Like . . .”

    Money is like talent . . .

    Sometimes you got it,

    Most times you don’t.

Good friends are like Harry Potter Jelly Beans . . .

Sometimes you find a really great one,

And that one becomes your favorite flavor.

Then again, a lot more often you end up with

A vomit or earwax flavored one.

Family members are like boogers . . .

    Everybody’s got ‘em,

You can’t really get rid of them for long.

Sometimes you try to fling them away,

But they always seem to stick to you anyway.

Love is like a cherry tootsie pop . . .

To get past the outer shell of sticky sweetness,

You have to stick with it.

    Sometimes it’s hard to chew,

But the process is sweet, the end result sweeter.

When all the hard work pays off,

You are left with the yummy tootsie goodness at the center.

If you really like it you always come back for more,

No matter how much work it takes to get there.

A person without God is like a bag of chips . . .

They look full on the outside,

But on the inside they are only half full.

Sometimes there are even dark, charred chips.

This poem is like straw . . .

You can either chew on it as you think on the words, or

You can use it like they did in the Renaissance . . .

you can wipe your butt with it.

(Thank the trees for toilet paper!)
