I thought I could live just a little bit longer,
But I guess death's grasp was a little bit stronger.
I never knew death could be so quick
I was not bad or ill or remotely sick.
One minute I was there, another I was gone
My family's cries were like a sad soothing song.
There was a pain in my chest. My heart didn't beat
I knew this was death, the end and defeat.
Death was around me but I had nothing to fear
The darkness was scary, but an angel was near,
The cries of my loved ones soon faded away.
The warmth was gone and the cold came to stay.
