Who will say they have drawn with ease of hand
the art of linear perspective? Bah!
Each line, some long, some thick, but any grand?
Sparing, those who'd try it, misery? Ha!
With aching wrists, strained eyes and patience tried,
your mind wonders why you press on and go.
But I wonder now, that one thing denied,
what is the one good that keeps it here so?
While other styles die, this one is kept.
Who can't say, this art, so misunderstood,
if its purpose is to work us adept?
Practice makes perfect, strengthening in good.
And the results could not be more sure.
But, TWO rounds of that, I'll nver endure!
