• First I was walking;
    That's simple enough,
    But I got to a point
    Where the going got tough.
    The air was so hot
    And the ground was so cold,
    But I knew that in stopping,
    My soul would be sold!

    And then they were talking.
    All the creatures, you see.
    I had to keep going
    Or they would get me.
    But the faster I went,
    The faster they followed.
    I soon found myself
    On ground that was hallowed.

    And then I was was crawling,
    Cursed by that ground.
    I crawled through the shadows
    So I wouldn't be found.
    With the creatures behind me
    And the darkness ahead,
    After what went down next,
    Shouldn't I be dead?

    Because then I was falling
    Out of control.
    Further and further
    Down the rabbit hole.
    I covered my eyes,
    Wanting no more.
    I had seen the bottom,
    But I never hit the floor.

    Because then I woke up;
    Had it all been a dream?
    What was that in the shadows?
    No one heard me scream.
