• Tick tock went the clock on the wall
As she hurried down the hall
Dress flying behind with the hem tainted red
Too anxious to have any tears to shed
    Graceful feet darting past
What may very well be her last
    Glimpse of the castle grounds

Tick tock went the clock on the wall
As she dashed right out of that hall
    Dainty feet enfolded among
The crimson flowers that softly sung
    "Farewell, farewell sweet Alice,"
    Their gentle petals dripping malice
    Ah, she'd better hurry

She'd hoped to hurry, she'd hoped to run
Before the clock struck the dreaded one
But the flowers cooed gently and grabbed her legs
Pulled her down, pulled her down, underneath the earth
And as she wondered what her life was really worth
She drowned in the scarlet leaves
