Just Another Broken Heart

• Description: The inspiration for this poem came from a friend. She had a bad breakup with a guy and was really torn up about it. I hold her pretty high and think she's amazingly sweet and kind and that she never deserves to be in pain. One I began to write I started to think about how love isn't usually fair and it's not always a mutual feeling. A lot of the time one person's looking for love and another persons just looking for fun.

She had the world inside her pocket
She was the perfect girl, but then she lost it
She was blinded by the light
That filled up her soul
She didn't think it would go that far
She didn't think it would hurt that bad
And everyone says

It's just a school girl crush
Just a crushed little girl
Just a longing pain
Just a tarnished pearl

He was a football star, everybody knew his name
He thought nothing could go wrong, but oh what a shame
He felt invincible to the powers of love
He went out with all the girls but they never meant a thing
Until that one summer night flight
And sadly he thought he was

Just a young boy wonder
Just a wonderful boy
Just a night all alone
Just a make shift toy

The world grows dark in these feeble hearts
The world grows cold in these darkened halls
Their hearts are broken and their dreams unspoken
Life will never be the same and it's all because

It's just a mixed up world
Just a world confused
Just another heartache
Just one more person used

your poem was touching. I could feel the sorrow that your friend had felt.... the poem was meant to be. I understand how painful it must be to break up with someone. I am deeply sorry that your friend had to go through that terrible incident.

that is so true and trust me u dont want a bad breakup it hurts really badly...i no how she must have felt...same thing happened to me sad
