While Shadow was walking down the mountain the only thing she could think about was what happened to Shagon. She just couldnt seem to get the thought out of her head. "What happened, who did it, and why?" Shadow thought. Because she was thinking so hard she didnt notice anything around her. She tripped on a rock and rolled right into a bush. But when she fell into the bush she heard a muffled voice yelling "get off me!" Shadow quickly jumped up to see a girl laying there in the bush. The girl got up and brushes leaves and dirt off her. "Who are you?" asked Shadow, "my name is Crystal, and thanks for that rude awakening," said Crystal. "Oh... sorry 'bout that, i tripped on a rock... by the way my name is Shadow"
"Hi Shadow, so uh, where are you from?"
"I'm from Shagon, you?"
"Thats weird, I'm from Shagon too, though I don't think I've ever seen you before,"
"wow, that is weird 'cause I've never seen you either."
"Hehe, how funny is that?"
"hehe, pretty funny."
"Btw, have you seen my sister? she looks just like me 'cause we're twins,"
"nope, sorry"

At that moment another girl showed up. "There you are Crystal! I've been looking everywhere for you!" said the girl. "Hey there Pearl! this is Shadow, Shadow this is Pearl," said Crystal. "Nice to meet you Pearl," said Shadow. "Likewise," said Pearl, and the three of them chated for awhile. Then it started to become dark. "I'm getting pretty tired now, what 'bout you guys?" yawned Shadow. "Ya, we're getting tired too," said Crystal and Pearl. "But where do we sleep?" asked Pearl, "uh... oh! I've got a secret cave we could sleep in, its not too far from here either," said Shadow. So they all followed the mountain trail a bit further down. Shadow suddenly stopped, causing Crystal and Pearl to almost run into her. "So why'd we stop Shadow?" asked Crystal, "'cause my secret base is right down there," said Shadow pointing to a small dark spot off the mountain trial." "So we're gonna have to climb down to get to it?" asked Pearl. "Yep, unless you'd rather sleep here on the trail with all the snakes, and bugs, and other cretures," said Shadow.

So they climbed down off the trail, with Shadow in the lead, to the dark spot Shadow pointed out. Once they got there Shadow moved a few big rocks from around the dark spot, which is accually a hole, which reaveled a passage way big enough for them to get in. Crystal went first, then Pearl and before Shadow went down she moves the rocks back to where they were. It was a short walk down before they entered a fairly big cavern. It was lit up with a few big lamps, there were a few big pillows in the middle. In the back were even more pillows which were made into a makeshift bed. Sheets were ontop of it, to the right and left of the cavern where bordgames, pictures, and lots of other stuff. "Well here we are guys, my secret base," said Shadow. "This is amazing Shadow!" exclaimed Crystal and Pearl, "glad you like it," said Shadow happily. "How'd you get all this stuff down here though?" asked Pearl, "thats a story for later, right now I'm ready for some sleep, what 'bout you guys?" asked Shadow. But both Crystal and Pearl where asleep on a few pillows. "I'll take that as a yes," said Shadow quietly as she moved to the back of the cavern to sleep on the makeshift bed.

But before she fell asleep she realized that from the time she met Crystal and Pearl to just now, she didnt think about Shagon at all. Then she remembered Crystal saying she and Pearl was from Shagon too. "Were they in Shagon at the time of it's destrution, or like me were nowhere near it? If they are survivors, are there more, or is it just them that made it out alive?" asked Shadow in her head, now many more questions started coming in. Now Shadow didn't want to sleep, but to ask Crystal and Pearl everyhting she could about what happened at Shagon. She looked over to where they were sleeping, then realized that all these questions would have to wait till tomorrow. Sleep soon took over Shadow, and she drifted off to sleep...
