short stories
I plan to think of ideas for writing/typing a story. My stories will include fiction and if I work hard enough, I may write an entire story.
chapter 3 I am Atreus
Wait, the aura! What Methodios felt before wasn't the aura of blood, it was the aura of a creature of some type. He ran to the window and looked out. Moving in the shadows he saw that same creature, but what was it? It was nothing he had ever seen before. From what he could see it had a long sword by its side and was wearing a dark robe to help it blend in with the darkness. Heart pounding, he ran out of the inn as fast as he could and went after the creature, but it was no longer there.

He looked at the note once again and it read: I am writing down all of the information I know onto this note; if I should die, the one to read this note must take my place to ensure the rebellion is victorious. The creatures in the empire's army are like none I've ever seen before; they are never seen during the day, but come out during the night. My guess is that they cannot stand the sunlight, so the best time to plan an attack would be during the day when they are weakened. They only have one city, all the others are small outposts where they gather materials to make weapons of all sorts. But the most important detail is-. And that's where it ended.

Methodios learned a lot about the empire already; their creatures were strong, but weak during the day. But this also made another problem. If he was to attack during the day and rest during the night, he would be in danger of attack. He didn't have much time to think about it because someone tapped him on the shoulder. This startled Methodios and in one quick move he jammed the note in his pouch and spun around, ready to hit whatever faced him. But what he saw wasn't one of those strange creatures, but a human.

"Who are you?" Methodios demanded.
"Take it easy, I won't hurt you. I came here because of what happened to Solon," he explained.
"How do you know Solon?" Methodios asked.
"I grew up with him, and I treated him like he was my own brother, but sadly he won't be comming back home with me this time," the stranger said sadly, gesturing to the inn. "He asked you to help the rebellion didn't he?"
Methodios looked to the ground, "Yes he did, if I had accepted his offer in the Black Dragon none of this would've happened."

"Don't be too hard on yourself," The man said, "because now we are the only ones who can lead the rebellion."
Methodios looked at the man in front of him. It was the first time he actually saw his face. Brown eyes and black hair, at least it could've been black, he couldn't tell because it was still dark outside, not to mention cold. He wore a green cloak and brown pants, on his back he carried a longbow and a quiver of arrows on his back.
"Who are you?" Methodios asked.
"I am Atreus."
