short stories
I plan to think of ideas for writing/typing a story. My stories will include fiction and if I work hard enough, I may write an entire story.
chapter 7 The journy starts
"Atreus, why are you here?" Methodios asked, puzzled by his sudden appearance.
"I save your life and that’s the thanks I get?" Atreus countered, completely annoyed by the constant questions that came whenever he saw Methodios.
"Sorry," Methodios said, looking at the ground.
Atreus was surprised by this, he expected more questions but instead, the guy apologized! This was a good thing for Atreus because he could avoid more questions this way, but he did need to explain why he was there.

"Apparently," Atreus began, "that creature was to kill us both tonight, but my door was locked and yours wasn't. He probably didn't want to wake me up and risk dying, so he went to your house instead. When he tried to open the door to my house, it woke me up. Once he found out that it was locked, he left and went to your house, and I grabbed my bow and followed him there." Atreus paused and took a breath, looking for what expression Methodios's face would show after that long story.

"And you didn't kill him when he first entered my house?!" Methodios shouted, "I could've died by the time you finally decided to plant that arrow in its head!" Methodios was furious, and he had never been this mad before.
"It's true that I grabbed my bow," Atreus responded calmly, "but I forgot to grab my quiver when I came to your house. By the time I realized it, you were under attack, and I was headed back to my house to get the quiver."

Methodios sighed, this was already a bad start for this adventure. In the first day he nearly died once, and needed saving by Atreus, which made him mad because he wanted to prove to Atreus that he was useful enough for this mission. "I understand," Methodios said, "sorry for getting mad at you."
"Don't worry about it," Atreus responded with yet another smile, "as long as we're over it I won't worry about it anymore." This guy just doesn’t get mad. Methodios thought.

"We should leave this town now, there have been two attacks and most likely, there will be more to follow." Atreus said, with a commanding voice.
"Right." Methodios said, and he followed Atreus out the door. They walked to the blocked off path and hoped over it, and continued down the dark, winding path that stretched on for miles in front of them. It was now getting close to day break, and Methodios was still tired because of the early start and the attack in the morning.

His feet were also killing him, they have been sore since the attack and it didn't look like they were going to stop walking anytime soon. After walking for what seemed like an hour, Atreus stopped and said, "you should rest, you've gone through a lot today and you need to rest for tomorrow." Methodios wanted to hug him, it was as if another person had read his mind, except the last person to read his mind wasn't really a person, it was more like a demon from his worst nightmares.

They sat down on the side of the road right under an oak tree. It felt good to be sitting down again, but this time he didn't have anything soft to cover himself with, just him and the hard earth under his feet. "You should sleep." Atreus continued, "I will watch over you while you rest, once you wake up we will continue down the road to our first mission." If that was the case Methodios never wanted to wake up, he just wanted to pretend that this was all a dream and he could end it anytime, but it wasn't, this was the harsh reality he faced now. That was the last thought to go through his head as he made himself a small bed (which was a pile of leafs) and fell asleep.
