Hisoka glances at Master Aki. The older elf nods. "Tell her." Hisoka nods in reply. A moment passes. Hisoka apparently refuses to look at me.
"It's my fault, Kasumi." Hisoka and Master Aki turn in matching movements to stare at Yukito, who hasn't said a word the whole time I've been fully awake.
"What do you mean?" I ask him, my voice cracking. Yukito doesn't flinch under Hisoka's glare. He doesn't even look up from the floor. His glasses hide his eyes from us.
"I should have told someone before. I- I found out that one of the elders has been telling someone council secrets."
Master Aki glares at Yukito. "What do you mean Yukito??!!! An elder??!! Telling secrets?!! Never!! I should- "
"LET ME EXPLAIN, MASTER!!" Yukito yells, jumping to his feet. His gaze is patient, but at the same time hurried. Master Aki takes a deep breath and sits motions with his hand for Yukito to continue. "Good. I know what I speak is treason, but there is no doubt in my mind that there is a leak in the council. I.... saw things." Yukito looks down at the floor again. "I should have said something, but I didn't trust my sight. I didn't believe it. I saw vampires talking of.... our most carefully guarded secrets. I knew that someone had been telling them. Later, I heard them plan to act on one of the things they discussed. They were planning to capture a.... a female elf, even if it ment war."
"Wait." Master Aki holds up his hand. He's shaking. This knowledge enrages him deeply. "Why didn't you tell the council this before?!! How did you find all this out??!!"
Yukito still doesn't look up. His hands are clenched into fists. "I... I don't want to say. Please don't make me tell you. If I answer that question, I would have to lie. I don't want to do that to you."
