I head towards the mountain with what I hoped would be my final order from Uzumi. He headed them off when they were trying to follow me up. Kumo managed to send a few up after me though.

Outrunning them was difficult, as they were faster than I. I managed to kill two or three of them before the others caught up. With the death of those few the others backed off.

Uzumi was still blocking off the others that tried for the base of Mt. Fuji. "Bastards!" he shouted, "Die!!" His katana was quick as lightning. His oponents were hesitive and weary as they approached. Uzumi was covered in their blood and sweating profusely. Kumo signaled the others to keep attacking and wear him down, but at no avail.

I was just a couple feet from the shrine's entrance when six more shinobi sprung forth. They tried a preheptive strike, but I was ahead of them and drew my naginata. Holding my naginata close to my stomach I jump into the air and curled up in a ball. (Authors Note: If you've ever played Soul Calibur and used Seung Mina you'll know what this looks like :} srry back to story) My blade sliced through one of them before I landed on my feet again. Repositioning myself, I challenged the others to attack. Each of them fell one by one to my weapon....til only one remained.

"What will you do, I wonder." I intimidated, "Will you be different?"

"You may have bested my brothers, but I will avenge them!" the wolf demon cried out.

He ran towards me, howling sorrowfully over his lost pack mates. I cared not for his sadness, only for the fact that a shinobi is to have no feelings or weaknesses. That was his mistake....and he paid for it. I pierced his through his abdomen with my naginata. I dont know why I felt this way,....but I enjoyed pulling my weapon from his flesh and the smell of his blood. After I remebered my original task I walked towards the gate.

When I arrived I had a feeling of unease. The path within was dark and the only light inside was the glow of a sphere. As I got closer to it a strange voice spoke to me.

"What business do you have atmy sacred shrine, neko." It asked angrily.

"I wish foryour guidence, Mochidizuki. I am the daughter of Felicia Sora, Ambaru Sora." I answered.

"FELICIA?!" The voice said with distain and anger, "It is because of her that I was sealed withing this cave!! She covered my shrine in this barrier and kept me from leaving this place!" It then spoke once more, "If you are of her flesh.....THEN YOU MUST DIE!!!"

As I stepped back an enormous white wolf with a pure white mane step infront of me. He was displeased and roaring loudly, he readied his attack.

I knelt down on my knees and hands and begged, "Please dont kill me! I only wish for your help!"

He stop and chuckled at my plea. "Hehehehe.....you really expect me to help you? Why do you need my help?"

"My Oka-san said you...that you'd protect me and help me find the icons of Japan." I said.

"Hmmm..." he wondered. Tensu came towards me and sniffed my head, "Lift your head, Ambaru." I rose my head and looked at him. Tensu then blew a soft wind towards my face. "Your eyes.....your heart is whole yet torn in half....your soul is pure yet tainted."

"Please will help me? I only wish for your guidence." I asked once more.

He then agreed, "Very well. I shall protect and guide you. Our lives are now one." Tensu rolled a golden orb towards me. "Put it to your chest." he instructed.

I picked up the orb and did as he said. When I did, the orb entered my chest and fused with my heart. "Aghh!" I said in pain.

"Do not worry. I have only conbined my soul with yours. Now if you die..I die and vice versa." he said softly, "You must cherish me as a part of you now."

Touching my chest I replied, "I shall, Tensu-sama."

Tensu then lifted meonto his back and we rode down the mountain. As I looked down I noticed that Uzumi was still fighting Kumo's pack. Just as we almost made it below the mountain Kumo knocked Uzumi down the mountain.

Uexpectedly, I cried out to him with worry, "UZUMI-KUN!" I then said to Tensu, "We have to save him!"

"Very well, Ambaru-san!" Tensu and I jumped to his rescue and nabbed him before he hit the ground. Quickly we rode off to the north.

Kumo was displeased with our escape and the lost of his many kin. "Hmph.....they're too good. Well now at least I have a challenge." he then laughed. "Hehehehe....hahahahahaha!"


That night.....


I helped Uzumi treat hismany wounds as we sat by the fire that night. His cuts and gashes were severe and hard to treat, but they were manageble.

Whispering quietly, I said "I'm glad your OK."

"Hmm?" Uzumi questioned. He didnt hear me and that was good. I didnt want him to think I cared.

"You need to pay attention when you fight. Then you wouldnt be so injured." I scolded.

"If you didnt take so long I wouldnt look like this!" he whined.

"Well retreiving Tensu wasnt a piece of moshi either." I protested. (Author's Note: Moshi is sweet rice paste :9)

"Well maybe you should practiceyour reteival work!" he yelled back.

Tensu then broke our argument, "Could you two be any more louder?!"

"Gomenasai (Im sorry)." I said back.

"Feh..." Uzumi sighed. "Damned wolf."

"Excuse me?" Tensu snarled, "I am a God. I could strip you raw at my wish!"

"Feh..." Uzumi replied once more. "Whatever..."

"Why you....!" Tensu growled.

I then stepped in. "OK you two. Calm down." I then sighed. "Uzumi apologize, please."

Uzumi sighed then said, "Im sorry your such an a*****e....."

"UZUMI?!" I shouted, "DONT SAY THAT D:<"

"Gomen, gomen(sorry,sorry)." Uzumi laughed.

"Hmph....forget it." Tensu growled. "Ill forgive him...for now." He then slumped down onto the soft flower patch and slept.

"Im gonna hit the sack too. Goodnight." I yawned.

"Sure." Uzumi mumbled.

We all finally went to sleep securely. A few hours later I awoke to a soft sound of shivering. I looked over to Uzumi who was very cold. So I grabbed my sheet and covered him. I then laid on Tensu's belly and went back to sleep. I awoke again to Uzumi's shivering and then decided to confort him. I layed behind him and wrapped my arms around him. I then placed my head against his back.

"There." I whispered. "Goodnight, Uzumi-sama."

"Arigato....Ambaru..." he answered back.

I blushed as he held my hands. I was startled and embarrased when he spoke to me. I looked away and muttered, "Dont do that. Dont think Im doing this because I want to."

"Alright,...I wont." he replied slyly before falling asleep.

I too drifted off to my dreams. Hopeing that they will be good ones.
