Yet another poem from my project...
High School Idiot
Don’t want to be a high school idiot Can’t take all that spirited mania Have you heard the Code Green hysteria? Don’t ask why I hate the high schools of America
I don’t think the lunches are made of real meat In the winter, classrooms are always lacking heat Hormonal teenagers are kissing in the hall And I think it’s just too funny When people beg for lunch money It’s hard to take them seriously at all
Teachers assign the most absurd reports They treat fencing like it’s not a real sport Popular girls all think they’re so cute With their oversized purses and gaudy Ugg boots
Sure they have their student regime Pep rallies, clubs,, and weightlifting machines Then again they have graffiti on the walls To get from class to class, it is always a rush To many students riding the school bus And filling up the halls
Don’t want to be a high school idiot Won’t get a mascot tattoo on my wrist Water bottles aren’t allowed in class Can’t use the bathroom without a hall pass
Jocks always think that they’re sports heroes Better do your work, or you’ll get a “zero” What is the meaning of all this insanity? I used to think, “high school will be something” Years ago, I never saw it coming Just can’t believe they think I’m the one who’s crazy
