Tales of The Black Vixen
I think I'm just keeping tis journal as funny quotes from Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, Mew Mew Power, Full Metal Alchemist, or any other anime/manga you can think of. If something really funny happens in rl or in an rp, I'll put it here too.
Another Rolplay Sample!
After exchanging a few friendly words with the inn owner Jinx bolted up the stairs and to her room. It was unbelievable how quickly her mood changed. Just a short while ago she had gone from being the most frightened she had ever been to extremely pissed off and, a second later, emotionless. Now she was content and displayed a small smile to the parading citizens. They would be safe in this village for the night. A large crowd, especially a loud one, was great cover.

As she reached the top of the stairs she narrowly dodged an overly excited child and his masked friend. Jinx could not keep back a laugh when everything around her was so lively. Even though the earlier events of the day had left painful scars inside and out, Jinx now felt like she was in her nature. She felt like the flames dancing in the square, so eager to waste the night showing off. She felt like the light from the flames as it reflected across the water in the central fountain and danced the mirrored version on the flames’ dance.

Light.

That is what she had decided to be. Jinx wanted to be everyone’s light. She wanted the others to feel safe in her company because the truth that she had never put into words was a lot bigger than she had let on. The mage knew that Zai figured she was ignorant and inexperienced- he seemed to think of everyone that way. Who knew what everyone else was thinking? Jinx was sure that Cara must think she was crazy. Lita probably just wanted a chance to check out her bag and Elliot’s personality still had not been shown to her enough to guess what he thought of her. Overall, Jinx knew that the whole lot of them probably thought she was a frail little mage who could barely perform strong enough magic to keep even herself safe. Wrong. A simple smile turned into an intrigued smirk. It was time to write and then she would get down to business.

Travel Journal

Ya know, I haven’t written in you since that lovely night I had with that even lovelier vampire in Kinneas. (I’ll have to read that entry again later).

Anyway, everyone hates me! Good job, eh? You don’t know who everyone is yet though- I’ll tell you later. I’ve recently been scared shitless so, obviously, I’ve had a moment or two to think about my goals. What I want and the reason I travel from town to town is still the same. However, I have more motives this time.
I am a guardian of The Savior/Destroyer, and am happy where I stand no matter what she is. I am part of her story now, no matter what, and it means much more to me than anyone could imagine.
Now there is some mage who used a nightmare spell on our happy little group. I can’t wait to find the son of a-
Oh wow… I just realized something. I’ll finish explaining later, for I have just had a mind-blowing epiphany.
And wow that sounded cheesy.

Jinx had barely finished writing the last sentence before jumping up and pouncing on her bag. She pulled bunches of small doohickeys and trinkets out. Odd things formed a circle around her but none of it seemed to be what she was looking for. ”Where are they?” Jinx had completely emptied her bag before finding what she wanted. ”Aha!” Seven little stones lay directly in front of her and she gave them the biggest smile. ”I’ve missed you all very much. Ready to work for me?”

To an eavesdropper jinx must look completely insane, talking to a bunch of rocks. But these weren’t rocks. Jinx took the small knife from her belt and pricked her left index finger. ”I know you all might be a little rusty but maybe you’ll be much better after this,” she continued while pushing the blood through her finger and out the wound. Jinx gave each stone a few drops of blood and covered the wound with a small bandage. ”Alright, wakey-wakey.”

Immediately, all seven stones jumped up. Legs popped out of some of them, others just hovered. One had four eyes and a pig-like snout. They all looked at her attentively. ”Now that you’re all listening…”

”Ti oricas napal cyc ehz
Naj mierta ballah a napiz kermat.
Estam dizah este vera badan z ehz
Ni nadzi sa lithi ehz.
Mehz lombardinand miz shalamar a dijani
Sa vinctyr estem o albond malikah.”

She let out a mischievous giggle. What did she plan to do with these awkward little creatures?

”And now for an energizer- after this I’ll use my magic whenever I feel like it. I’ll keep it on the down-low near cities and towns but while we’re traveling in between I’ll practice and hone my skills.” With a piece of purple chalk she drew a sphere on the ground. More circles and shapes of all kinds filled it.

”Polov ti lithi astom mi badan najzit.
Ti mabel kie, ma’sahy-dama,
Sa cymwr meh at ti aladyr za shal meh es.
Vagaba meh, erimdad,
A mit es
Ren.

A bright blue-purple glow flashed in front of slate blue optics before filling the whole room. The light bounced out the windows and blinded anyone close enough before it simply faded.

I’d been watching the little bugger for over an hour now, maybe over two. It annoyed me how quick and animated its movements were. The thing seemed to mock everything around while the stupid and unobservant humans shooed it away, thinking it was a simple bug. It looked more like a really ugly leprechaun.

Leprechauns tasted so good.

So I had sensed his power a few hours previous and ditched Jinx to find him. I figured there was nothing I could do to help Jinx and her new friends, since I could not follow them through the tunnels, and this tiny winged imp could very well be important. If I caught him and brought him to Jinx she would be very pleased. Unfortunately, my luck had just ran out.

A festival? Now? Why did humans have so many of these? It seemed these parties were always excuses to down their terrible smelling drinks and eat ten times more food than they need to. The worst part about these festivals was that if I was not dragged around by a child, I was shooed away for trying to steal food. Like I’d really want their food. Too many people cluttered the streets. I could still smell my leprechaun-imp but he was completely out of sight. My plan was to get away from the crowd and watch the sky from a deserted place.

When I finally left the crowd I had caught Jinx’s scent as well as one or two that belonged to her friends. About six or seven yards away, a girl sat in a tree, banging her head on a branch. Humans were way too weird. Jinx was about the only one I would ever be able to put up with and it was because the way she treated me. She never treated me like a dog and she never treated me like a beast- I was Artemis. To Jinx I was an equal and if not, more than equal. The girl admired me and loved me for what I am and in return I admire her. No humans had that sort of respect for me and had even less respect for themselves, like the tree girl.

I watched as a boy started yelling up to her. The clumsy fool fell over when he tried to run away. I snorted. What had he seen anyway? Then the green haired boy from before ran past. Something must be important to cause so much distraction so after finishing my small snorting fit I followed their gazes. I saw him, the little leprechaun b*****d, and chased.

Four legs was the best thing any soul could ever wish for. It was so much faster than two. Goodbye grass-head, maybe I’ll give you the extras after I eat him.

(( Here’s the translation for the second spell.

Unlock the binds that hold my magic within.
The time has come, my dear master,
To recognize me as the mage that you know me to be.
Release me, your grace,
And I will be
The light.
