Tales of The Black Vixen
I think I'm just keeping tis journal as funny quotes from Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, Mew Mew Power, Full Metal Alchemist, or any other anime/manga you can think of. If something really funny happens in rl or in an rp, I'll put it here too.
Skylar was upset about her little spat with Virgil but she was able to get over it. What upset her now was the fact that the a*****e contest staff would not let her join the contests. It was an amateur contest and some of them had seen Skylar and her friends on the streets and decided she was too good for the contest. It reminded her of how some guys were told to go home when they tried to join an amateur boxing match because they were too big. It was completely unfair! The staff sent her back into the crowd where she watched the contestants dance while she pouted. Some people looked at her as if she was completely immature about absolutely nothing but she did not care. Everyone deserved to have immature moments once in a while. Once in a while was a little more often for Skylar…

She left the crowd at the contest and started to look for her friends. Not a single one of them was in sight so far and she was beginning to think they all planned to go somewhere and forgot to tell her about it. ”Why is everything wrong tonight? Did I do something bad? Is this karma kicking me in the a**? Well, it better not leave a mark.”

The text message alarm on her phone rang and Skylar picked it up swiftly. It was a motion she was used to doing a million times a day and did not even have to think about it anymore. Sometimes she swore she picked up her phone a half second before a text came in. It was from Alex and normally Skylar was happy to get a text from her big sister but this one was scary. A bit of trouble and having to leave was normal; Skylar could handle that. Shifters had to do what shifters had to do but telling Sky to go home so she did not get hurt was a little eerie. Was worst part was the fact that Alex she she did not want Skylar hurt “too.” ”Too? Who’s hurt?!” Skylar started to freak out and run around, searching for any glimpse of her sister or another family member. Why had alex just left without her if someone was hurt? Was it that bad? Skylar knew shifters could heal themselves instantly so what could be so pressing as to make Alex run off?

Skylar was so distracted by the text and the worry that she found herself wondering with no destination. Walking home alone was not her idea of safety, even if she knew almost every nook and cranny of the city. Just as she was about to send a text back to Alex someone bumped into her and she dropped the phone. There were people running around frantically and Skylar did not know why but she did not care either. Her only contact to her family was now being kicked around by a hundred feet and she needed to get it back. ”Stop! She yelled at people but no one heard or cared. Skylar was so upset about losing her phone. What if that text was the last contact she ever had with Alex? What if her fight with Virgil had been their last? Tears streamed down her face and anger started to rise. She pushed people out of the way and moved in the direction she last saw her phone.

After looking for what seemed like ages she found it a few yard away from a ride. ”Yes! Skylar ran at it blindly and completely unaware that the ride she was running toward had burst into flames, causing the chaos that she lost her phone in. finally, she grabbed it and flipped it open again. After her relief of finding her phone unharmed passed she realized it was a little too bright where she was standing. Skylar looked up. A raging inferno ring spun above her. She knew the screams she had earlier mistaken as the average roller coaster amusement were actually screams of terror and pain. Skylar was frozen in place, gawking at the flaming structure.

It took a long moment to catch her breath and when she finally did it was lost again. The structure groaned and a huge piece of metal fell off. It was heading right for her. Skylar was still frozen. She was going to die and she knew it, all she could do was welcome her fate. She closed her eyes because she did not want to witness any more of it. Right at the moment she thought she would be hit she felt something wrap around her abdomen and pull her away. When she opened her eyes she was standing upright, looking at the arm wrapped around her. She followed it up to the man’s dark browns. Maybe chivalry was not completely dead. Maybe it was just hiding. Skylar was shaking from the shock but managed to let out a very quiet ”thank you.”
