"Don’t look now Kara, but I believe there’s a hottie in our apartment." Of course there was a hottie in their apartment. This hottie was ready to party. She hugged Kairi back and looked her up and down. Kai looked cute but no as cute as Mina did. Maybe it was because you could still tell that Kai was a bit of a tomboy, maybe it was because Mina had that much of an ego. She could not imagine a world where she did not look great. A world where heads did not turn her direction any time she passed. Mina laughed at her friend's comment on her shoess. Of course, she had almost forgotten how enthusiastic Kairi was about shoes. And shoes like these - which were more of boots- were nearly enough to send Kairi into a spazz attack. "I took them off a hobo, Kai. She didn't want to give up the Vera Wang purse so I took these heels instead," she replied sarcastically. Mina never revealed her secrets. Fashion was one of those things that you had to learn whether it be by experimenting or by magazines. Mina had been good at this since she was alittle girl and really had nothing left to learn. Sharing her secrets, such as where she got a certain piece of clothing or accessory, was definately a no go. If you shared, someone else could get it and you would not be so unique, would you?
As the barking started and the flapping dog tags made those horrible sounds bounce through the air Mina froze up a bit. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up in annoyance. Dogs sucked. They immediately went to licking her perfect lotioned legs. The last thing Mina needed was to dance with some guy and have him tell her that she smelled like a dog. Kairi really needed to remember to put her dogs in a room when Mina came over.
"Race?" Mina totally forgot the dogs when Kairi mentioned a race. Races were like a sweet and naughty desire that she only had a chance to have a slice of one in a while. To feel the smooth vibrations of the car at high speed and to know that all the world around her meant nothing. The world would be a blur and nothing else because she would be so caught up in the sweet sensation of high speeds. And then there would be turns. The way everything jerked around would make her insides turn in the most agressive yet elegant manner. Mina would be a slave to her car, moving every which way it told her to. she would obey her car and move with it, for it was the reason why she could feel such things. The speed. The adrenaline. The butterflies in her stomach. The extacy. The knowing the fact that what she was doing was ever so.. bad. When Mina raced she felt like she had the world to gain and not a care about what she could lose. The speed was her escape from reality. The car was her muscle and her commander- almost like a boy- and, everything was better at high speeds. ;D
Mina was in a particularly good mood now and she was sure not much could ruin it. It was getting dark outside and that was definately the best time for a race. She smirked her devilish smirk at Kai and answered with a quirked brow. "Am I ever not up for a race?" Of course, Kara would not be racing. Mina did not want Kara to race but it was only because the girl was not experienced at all. She barely knew anything about cars and less about actually racing them. If that girl tried to race she would end up killing herself. When it came down to Kara being in a car with Mina, Kairi (in Mina's opinion) was a little too protective. Mina was an excellent driver and had never actually crashed. She knew exactly what she was doing and would still be able to do it with someone buckled up in the back seat. But she would HAVE to be buckled up. No exceptions.
"If it's okay with Kara we'll go for it. I have a need for speed right now." she bit her lip, eager to get out there. Mina could already feel her blood pumping faster and the adrenaline with it. A race was exactly what she needed to feel better today. "So let's go already! No time to lose, losers. Move your asses." She laughed and nearly jumped outisde the door. Mina leaned against her beautifully crafted automobile and gazed at it longingly. Even though she had this wonderful car for over a year, it still gave her the chills. it still felt like the car really was not there and it was just her imagination- just a dream.
