"Oh, I see," said Jake. "So you're telling me that Nick just called you before I came here? And I interuppted you guys and he hung up suddenly?"
I nodded, wishing I never even told Jake that. I was afraid Jake would get jealous or something. I had no idea why I even thought of that. It just suddenly popped up in my mind. "I gotta tell you, I'm a bit jealous of that Nick guy," confessed Jake, looking away.
My eyes bugged out. "No way! Are you serious? Why would you be jealous of him?" I asked.
"Well, he's a jock, he's popular, girls are crazy over him, and the most important, you had a crush on him didn't you? And then you guys were going out and stuff, while I was home alone staring at the tv like a mindless zombie," retorted Jake, coldly.
Now that I think of it, I can see why Jake got jealous. Nick is the perfect dream guy. But that's what he is on the outside. On the inside... well, I'm not even sure what's on the inside of Nick. He's a great guy, but I guess he wasn't my type after all. I guessed I looked kinda weird thinking about that because Jake asked, "You ok, Sky? How about we go to Alicia's Hangout and just relax and chill?"
Now that sounds like a great idea, I thought. "Sure, why not?" I answered, getting up.
Jake looked excited on the way there. I can tell because he was riding 80 miles an hour. I rolled my eyes and told him that he was going way too fast. He smiled at me and went even faster. "Dude, stop that. We're going to get in trouble," I said, seriously.
Right then, a police car was right behind us! "Shoot, the cops are behind us," said Jake, gripping his hands on the wheel tightly.
Wow, this is just perfect. Relax and chill? I don't think so Jake. I sighed and said, "Just pull over Jake and let's get over it,"
Jake wasn't swayed. He went up to 90 miles and turned left. "JAKE!!!! WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING???" I yelled, trying to stop him.
"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm trying to get away from the police," he said, his eyes on the road.
I stared at him in amazement. "Well, there's a better solution for that, Jake. Pull over the vehicle!!!!" I shouted, steering the wheel.
Now there were two police cars right after us. I put my face in my hands and groan. Jake did another left and nearly hitted an old lady carrying a grocery bag. He finally stopped at this place and dragged me out of the car. I looked around. It was an auto shop. What were we doing here? "Hey Gigi! We need a bit of help here!!" bellowed Jake, knocking on the front door.
Out came a blonde lady with oil stains all over her clothes and face. "What's that ya say? Help? What kind of help?" she asked, wiping her forehead, making another oil stain.
Then Jake explained the whole situation to Gigi about the police chasing and that we needed her help. Gigi was pondering about that when she was taking a look at Jake's car. She got out a spray can and started spraying pink all over the car. Jake's eyes nearly popped out. I snickered and grabbed another pink spray can and started spray all over the car. Jake gave in and help. When we were done, Jake said "How about the driver license plate? The police must have taken notes and could tell it's still my car,"
Right then, I heard sirens coming our way. Without hesitation, Gigi took a screwdriver and started to work on the driver license plate. "You guys get in the shop before the cops get ya," ordered Gigi, her back against us.
Jake took my hand and dashed for the door. Inside, I tried to look at what Gigi was doing. Jake stopped and said, "You want the cops to see you?"
"They never saw our faces before though, and this was your fault in the beginning!!!" I argued, glaring at him.
Jake sighed and said, "Well, to tell you the truth, I just don't want a warning. If I do, my parents will take away my driver's license, which I need it to go places like to school or something else important,"
"Then why did you have to go up to 80 miles per hour then???" I shouted, ready to shake Jake to death.
"I dunno. Just trying to impress a cute girl," replied Jake.
The door suddenly opened before I even got to say anything. The cops, I thought. Jake pushed me in a box and went in as well. We laid there, scared to death. I felt like a mouse being stalked by a cat. I gulped, a bit too loud. I heard footsteps. It was heading for where we were. The footsteps were closer and closer. Everything was like in slow motion. I closed my eyes as the box was being opened...
