If I kissed the ground you walk on
Would you turn and look my way?
If I told you I was dying
By my bedside would you stay?
If I profess my love
Would you say you love me too?
If I ask you to marry me
Would you say "I do"?
Out of all the things I could have said
And all I wished I'd done
As I sit and think them through
I wish I'd change just one
If I'd made my pressence more apparent
would you've acknowledged me?
Had I told you I was dying
Then to my grave would you come see?
If I'd worked up the courage
To tell you I loved you
Would things be different then they are now?
These things I wish I knew
Now my tears match my regrets
And as I lay here writing
I wish I'd lived life differently
And now it's death I'm fighting
