It happened. I am wed.
The wedding cost total was $2,875. The honeymoon was $4,025.
I have a stock answer for everyone who asks me, "So, how's married life?". With a cheeky smile I reply, "Well, Alex was throwing up in bed the week before the wedding, and Ryan was throwing up in bed the week after the honeymoon... So the differences are subtle."
Norris and I are still all stupid about each other. We still smooch and stuff, and he insists on grocery shopping with me. He's a lot of fun, and I hold to the belief that a "thing" doesn't have as great a meaning to me if it doesn't involve him. Plus he's dreamy and stuff.
The kids are great. Alex was student of the year among other things, and Ryan learned to wipe his own a** and wash his hair. We have fun together. Sometimes I get a little annoyed, and I have to pull them off of me. They cling because they love me, and that's okay.
I guess my favorite thing about married life and motherhood is the looks that we get from people in public. People are hilarious. We're so odd, it's hard to determine if we said something, did something, or called each other something that earned us a funny reaction from a total stranger. The last one that I remember was Alex screaming to me from the fruit stand, "WHERE'S THE LOVE FOR THE NECTARINES?", but my personal favorite was Ryan's thrilling story to the people behind us in a checkout line about the ant in his butt that tickles him when he doesn't wipe well. *snort*
