The Outbreak Part 1
The story of David King…Part 1
The streets were full of them soulless, mindless monsters shambling through the ruined streets of Raccoon feasting upon the flesh of the living. They were horrifying, living proof of the walking dead, for lack of a better word they were zombies. David King a local resident and registered plumber and mechanic was fleeing for his life, barreling down the infested streets of Raccoon City. His body was spent having been running for a good 20 minutes now, but he continued to push on his legs aching with every step. As he wavered in between them he was constantly searching for a safe place of refuge. Then he saw it a good fifty feet away, steps leading down into the subway tunnels. “Perfect!” He thought, as he pushed one of the shambling monsters out of his way sending it hurling to the asphalt with a sickening thud. “God damn zombies…” he muttered under his breath, continuing to make his way to the subways entrance.

The tale of Kevin and Cindy…Part 1
Zombies were everywhere…pouring out of every corner; every shadow and Kevin Ryman was running low on ammunition. “Son of a b***h!” he shouted, a hint of fear clinging to his voice as he ejected the empty magazine from his colt .45. “Cindy stay behind me!” he shouted behind him, slapping in a fresh clip. “Kevin! They’re behind us!” she shouted back. The timid looking blond girl with the waitress apron wore an expression of sheer terror as she and Kevin surveyed their environment; they were surrounded, cornered with no way out. “Damn it!” he fired once, twice, three times on the nearest enemy ahead of them before it finally dropped, and he moved on to the next one. Another three shots then that one fell, but now he had only one round left with four zombies still remaining…closing slowly in on them. “We’re screwed!” Kevin thought, as the zombies inched closer and closer to them with every shambled step. “Hey, hey over here!” shouted a skinny black man wearing a subway station uniform, from behind one of the doors to the restrooms located on the eastern wall. “Over here come and get me!” he shouted again, ultimately drawing the attention of the two zombies in front of Kevin and Cindy over to him. The creatures turned and then stupidly started to slowly shuffle towards the man and that’s when Kevin saw his chance. There was just the two behind them now. He immediately turned and fired off the final round of his .45 into the cranium of one of the staggering zombies, following up with a roundhouse kick to the face of the other. They both went flying backwards, Kevin jerking up Cindy’s hand in his as they rushed back through the east ticket gate. “Thanks pal I owe you one!” he shouted back to the man hiding within the restroom as they hoped the gates. His words of gratitude however, fell upon deaf ears as the man was once again safely and securely cowering behind the door of the restroom. Thanks to him they were safe…for now.

The story of David King…Part 2
David slowly made his way down the stairs of the subways western entrance, making sure the security shutter was safely secured before descending. “Sorry for whoever tries to get in this way…” a wave of guilt washed over him as images of people being mauled and eaten alive behind the shutter flowed into his mind. He could’ve very well been the architect of so many people’s grisly fates, but he tried to be optimistic reassuring himself that everything would be fine but knowing deep in his heart that it wasn’t true. He quickly shook the thoughts from memory and continued his descent heading into the western ticket gate area. He pushed the double doors at the bottom of the staircase open and cautiously made his way inside. The large room was trashed. Trash cans were toppled over, bullet casings littered the floor, the ticket machines were smashed up…it looked like a war zone. David saw no signs of movement but none the less reached into his tool belt and fumbled to open up a small red pocket knife. “Lotta good this’ll do me…” he grumbled. David let off a heavy sigh and decided that his first priority before leaving the station was to find a decent weapon. Though his skill with a blade was quite exceptional, David dreaded the thought of having to get within biting distance of those freaks. Before moving on he decided to take a closer look around the room. He peeked through the windows of the ticket information desk and saw nothing of interest; the door to access it was locked so a more thorough investigation was out of the question for now. I droplet of water annoyingly landed on David’s nose, he wiped his face with his sleeve and looked up. There was a lose pipe hanging from the ceiling, it was around three feet long and looked pretty effective for bashing in zombie heads. Unfortunately it wasn’t within reach; he would require the assistance of another to obtain it so he searched around for something else. Unfortunately his search was in vain, so he had to head to the next room poorly armed with a three inch pocket knife. David wasn’t a very comical type of man but couldn’t help but say as he stepped over the ticket gate, “Oh officer I don’t have a ticket you better come stop me…” He smiled and let off a small chuckle surprising himself, he had almost forgotten how it felt to laugh. To be honest it felt good…

The misadventures of Jim Chapman…Part 1
The door to the subway east concourse men’s restroom was being pummeled upon by zombies, as a panicked Jim Chapman paced hurriedly back and forth biting his nails within the confines of the small latrine. The restroom was a mess and reeked of urine and air freshener, but it always looked and smelled that way even before the zombie outbreak. “Oh s**t what do I do…w-what do I do!” he shouted nervously, sliding his shaking hand into his right jeans pocket. “Heh heh can’t a brotha get a b-break? Heh heh!” he laughed nervously as he removed from his pocket a shiny silver nickel and began to fumble with it clumsily in his hands. “Lady Luck d-don’t let me down…” he struggled to say before softly kissing the coin and tossing it lightly into the air. “T-tails and I’ll m-m-make it outta this s**t!” he stuttered as the coin quickly fell back down to earth. Jim quickly caught it with his right hand and clenched it tightly to his chest almost too nervous to see the outcome of his fate. Jim was the type of guy to always place his destiny in the hands of Lady Luck; he was very superstitious and often made his decisions with the toss of a coin. So far fate seemed to be rather kind to Jim, but he feared that his luck might’ve finally run out. He was nervous, beads of sweat trickling down his dark face as he gulped loudly and slowly began to open his tightly clenched fist. The shiny coin sat neatly in the palm of his hand and Jim’s eyes grew large a look of joy spreading across his face as he saw the outcome of his coin toss. Jim’s lucky coin had fortunately landed on tails, and just like that the pounding on the door outside suddenly stopped. Jim was ecstatic and smiled a huge grin, “You never let me down baby! Never doubted you in my mind for a sec!” he chuckled kissing the coin again then slipping it back into his pocket. “Ok…now what do I do?” he asked himself. Though the pounding outside had mysteriously ceased Jim was too much of a coward to venture back out so he simply stood there pondering in his mind on what his next move should be, but was unfortunately coming up with no answers. He looked dreadfully confused and nervous once again, “Outta one hole and into another…” he sighed a very long sigh.
