Shot through the heart,
I fall.
Within a few seconds,
I hit the ground.
Though it feels like I fall for slowly,
An eternity seems to pass.
He's there,
Watching,
Waiting.
There's a sound.
I watch him dash over.
He's desperate,
To see if I'm okay.
I whisper to him,
It's a soft sound.
Then I look at him,
And I smile.
Tears come from his eyes,
As well as mine.
Then I close my eyes,
And he sets me down gently.
He knows I didn't want to die this way.
But alas,
I have.
But he was by my side.
He's kneeling in pool of blood,
Yet,
I wanted to die with him next to me.
