A friend of mine died last night. A car crash; he was 17 years old.

17. Thats no age to go...It seems cruel, that life would snatch someone away at the beginning of their lives. He had never gone anywhere, never had any adventure, never saw the things he thought he'd see as a young boy.

I mean...I cant imagine it. How it must be to be someone who dies at 17 years old. Looking back, what kind of a person was he, with a fate as black as his?

He was happy. He laughed. He had all the good moments we have, yet his were sliced so crudely into pieces by destiny.

The point is not that he died, but he lived. Why would a God make a human being soley for the purpose of dying? What part did his death play in the grand scheme of things? Why did he have to go? He was so young..

I can't really think at the moment. Hearing about a death that is so near..its scary. It makes me want to grab my friends and hug them. I would tell them that they all really do mean so much to me, even thought I have the worst ways of showing it. I would tell Erika how I've always adored her sarcasm. I would let Noel know that I only ever wanted to make her laugh. I'd tell Holly and Janel and Kenzie that we never hang out because I'm too afraid I'll do something to offend them.

I'd make sure no one doubted that I cared for them. That I loved each one of them just as much as the next.

That they all had a part in making me who I was.
