Ok for my sisters birthday my grandpa got her a cell phone and added her to our plan with my other sister and myself. Collectively we all have 700 minutes shared per month. The old plan was 2 phones and 600 minutes shared. Our plan included free nights, free weekends, free anytime minutes with your "top faves" list, and free anytime minutes with anyone else on T Mobile. With all that free stuff my sister and I used no more than 150 anytime minutes per billing period. Usually it was closer to 30. We've had 2 billing periods since we added the 3rd line. Both times we went over the minutes and were charged extra. Here we are 7 days into the new billing period and already we have used 342 minutes. That's almost half in a week. She offered to pay for unlimited texting so she could text more rather than use all the minutes. That apparently has done nothing to change things. I've taken advantage of this unlimited texting. I've already used 396 in a week where as before I was only allowed 400 a month. It's been nice, but I assume that next billing period that's going away. If she goes over the minutes again he's probably going to remove her from the plan and I doubt he will keep up the unlimited texting. What I don't get is why there always has to be a plan adjustment with every call to the phone company. He complains about a 47 page phone bill so our 5 faves service is disconnected. He wants online banking so he gets the internet plan. He finds out he needs texting too so he gets a separate texting plan. He finds out online banking from the phone is complicated and isn't worth $30 a month so he discontinues that too. Well whatever floats his boat I guess.
I've been having issues with my battery life lately. I fully charged my phone yesterday morning and after some 150 texts my battery life was in the yellow. This was troublesome, but then my grandpa mentioned "high speed" chargers. He said they charge the phones faster, but the charge life isn't as long. That got me to thinking of my phone. Lately I've been making ring tones using my MP3 collection and Audacity. After making the ringtones I would use a USB cable to transfer the files to the phone. While transferring the files the computer would also charge the phone for me. This charged it in much less time than my charger by my bed. I've just been USB charging as needed lately. I decided to try a regular charge in the car. After I charged my phone up I got on MSN and used mobile MSN for a couple hours also had a phone call. The battery meter still reads as full. Hopefully regular charging will solve the problem.
