Well there's a waste of $30
My sister and I had some trouble with our mp3 players. The audio channel on one side would keep cutting out unless you held the headphone plug just right. I knew there had to be a broken contact point between the circuit board and the headphone jack. I didn't want to break the players trying to fix them so I spend $30 to get a couple 2gb players at Bimart. After I got home I decided to go ahead and fix mine. When I examined the plug I found that all that was wrong is that the solder around one of the contact points had broken. I never used a soldering iron before, but I thought it would be easy to figure out. I just heated the solder up, held the jack down then let it cool. I put it back together and it works just fine now. I checked out my sisters and the jack seemed pretty solid, but I resolderd the points anyway and it works too. There's $30 wasted. I guess I have the old ones as backups. The new ones are double the capacity of the old one. Aside from holding music I also use them as a flash drive.
