As soon as we got home (Me and Kevin's house), we unloaded the Plasma canisters and put them in the basement. Adam went right to work with his research, and God knows what else.
The next afternoon, Adam woke me up. I was pretty exhausted after the past couple of days. Surprisingly, Kevin was awake before me, which was a first.
Vaughn: What do you guys want?
Kevin: I told Adam about what you turned in August.
Adam: It seemed a bit far fetched, but after seeing you use the dark beam for myself, I understand now.
Vaughn: What are you even talking about?
Adam: Look, *Pulls out laptop* there's two possible explanations for what's happened to you. One, the dark energy serum could have been transferred into you, by Glorfax himself, or by me. Both of which are highly unlikely because you and I haven't exchanged bodily fluids of any kind, and and if Glorfax has given you the dark energy, how could he?
Kevin: He kinda has a point, but how could have you gotten it then?
Vaughn: I dunno, can I just go to sleep?
Adam: *Ignores* I also came across one other option. There's one being, if you want to call it a being, that can produce dark energy. The Dark Demon itself.
That got my attention.
Vaughn: *Sits upright* Are you telling me I'm possessed by a demon?
Adam: I'm afraid so. It says here that the Dark Demon inhabits its hosts by transference. The problem is figuring out who could have transferred it to you in the first place. Do you have any clue, guys?
Vaughn: I think. My mother?
My mother had been dead for 7 years, but I could still feel her presence.
Kevin: You think your mom carried the demon the entire time?
Vaughn: Kind of. She died right in front of me, and I felt... different ever since. Everytime I get too angry I feel some strange feeling in my gut.
Adam: But what about your dad?
Vaughn: *Clenches fist* I don't want to talk about him. He left us, and didn't want anything to do with me. He couldn't have.
Adam: Try using the dark beam again.
When the thought of my dad came up, I felt angry instantly. Almost as angry as the time Glorfax almost killed Kevin. Almost. Then I reached out my hand and a thick beam of dark energy pierced through the door making a decent sized hole and a black mark on the wall in the hallway.
Kevin: Whoa. Um. Okay.
Adam: If it helps, I'd like to take a bit of blood and some DNA.
Vaughn: Sure. As long as it helps. *Grabs scissors and cuts a bit of hair and hands to Adam*
Adam: Thanks.
Vaughn: Does it say anything else about this demon thing?
Adam: It says here that there are five stages of this demon. Once the fifth stage is reached, all hell's gonna break loose and mass destruction will occur.
Kevin: Great, our best friend is a killing machine. If my parents weren't in Europe, I think they wouldn't let you'd be here.
Vaughn: This is pretty freakin' serious, Kevin.
Adam: I agree.
Vaughn: But at least I can use it against the Glorfians.
Adam: NO! I want it out of you!
Vaughn and Kevin: Why?!
Adam: You have a DEMON inside you! And a very powerful one, too!
Vaughn: That's the point, man.
Adam: Whatever until I find out how to get it out of you, I don't want you using it.
Vaughn: Fine...
Kevin and I walked out of the room.
Kevin: You're gonna use it, aren't you?
Vaughn: Of course.
