So to start off, this is my first "My View" Review. So, I thought I'd start off with the review of one of the most hyped superhero/comic book heroes of the year. Just keep in mind that this review may contain spoilers. You have been warned.
Let's start off with plot. This sequel is packed with more story than the first. A lot more. I only say that because there are multiple plot threads within the movie. I'm not saying that as a good OR bad thing, it's just kinda hard to keep up with all the story the movie is trying to throw at you within it's 2 hour and some odd minute presentation. There are multiple plot threads to follow along with and unless you watched that scene after the credits in the first movie, you won't know who the "guy with the eye patch" is; unless you're a big Iron Man comic book fan. So, I'd say the plot was decent. Not the best comic book movie plot, but could've been a LOT worse.
Alright, on to effects. There's a lot of CG in this movie. Not like what is in, say Avatar, but a pretty good bit. And all the CG/damage effects in this movie were really well done to boot. All in all, just like the plot, not the best, but could've been worse.
What next? Uh, characters. Terrence Howard being replaced by Don Cheadle as Colonel James Rhodes aka Rhodey doesn't make a huge huge difference, at least not in my eyes. All the other characters played their parts well. I think Downey Jr. played a very good drunk Iron Man... that was actually my favorite part of the movie.
My View: All in all, a very good movie. SEE IT
