The Dark and Twisted Fantasy
The Corruption
It wasn't long before the corruption came. The kingdom fell prey to the influence of the corruption, leaving it a dark and barren place. All that was left was the king, sitting in the ruins of what used to be his castle. All his glory had been wiped away. Insanity had washed over the king. "How could my kingdom have fallen to a greater glory?" he thought endlessly. No matter how much he pondered the question, he couldn't get to the bottom of it.
As new creatures of a darker essence began to inhabit what was left of the kingdom, all of the reality left in it was cleared out. The king, being completely mad at this point, welcomed all newcomers, no matter how deceptive they really were. Slowly but surely, the king regained his power until he had exceeded his former glory. The shadows had completely brainwashed him. Where he used to be kind, he was now cruel. Where he was once forgiving, he now held grudges. And most importantly, where he was good, he was now evil. The kingdom rebuilt itself, restoring all the power the kingdom once had.
