Unending Pain

Celia sat uncomfortably as she heard Alex's moans of pain from the other
room. She couldn't push the thought of last night out of her mind. Last night. The night that had left her so traumatized. "Why did he just randomly appear with his weapon drawn? What could have happened to him to cause him so much pain?" The questions wouldn't stop coming.
She shook her head as if all the thoughts would just fall out of her ears, to no avail. Standing up, she began pacing the room, humming a song to drown out Alex's agony. "Okay, just... calm down. There has to be a logical explanation. Obviously it had to do with the corruption... right?" she thought, hopelessly confused. she watched silently with sad, blue eyes as Griff walked out of the room.
Griff was a burly guy. He had rough, chiseled features and had fought in many battles. He was viewed as a leader among Celia and Alex. They looked up to him greatly and could only imagine how hard it would be without him.
"Well?" she asked expectantly. Griff's eyes sank to the floor as he opened his mouth "As of now... there's nothing we can do. It's nearly hopeless" Celia
sank to the ground in tears. "That's... it?" she asked, getting her hopes up too high. Griff just shook his head slowly. "He's in some sort of coma. The doctors say that it appears to be related to some kind of spell called "Unending Pain". They also revealed that only the most powerful dark creatures can produce it which meas we're in trouble." said Griff painfully. He sat down next to Celia, comforting her. "So... we somehow pissed off some magical, dark spirit and now they're seaking revenge?" asked Celia. Griff sighed. "Yes."
