Shadow: Could I get back to what I doing now?
Eggman: Of course. I'll contact you if I need anything. But where is Sonic?
Shadow: He's in Death Desert.
Eggman: Thank you. You may go now.
*Shadow holds up an Emerald and disappears*
Eggman: Well, I better get a plan going. I'm not going to use robots again because of what happened just a few minutes ago. Hmmm..........

E-53: Yes,doctor?
Eggman: Place these booby traps at the west exit of Death Desert.
E-53: Yes,doctor.
*E-53 takes the traps and goes*
Eggman (thinking) : Perfect. Soon they're Chaos Emeralds will be mine!
Shadow (thinking) : I need to remember my past. Maria........
