Is that Kingdom Hearts 2 REEKED!!!
I believe I, and most likely many other's who are hiding away from the dangers of KH2 fandom, have the right the say that Kingdom Hearts 2 in NO way even threatened to live up to its predecessor. I'm sorry loyal fans but it just sucked. There were many pointless add-ins that had nothing to do with the storyline of the game and were probably thrown in there just for the heck of making it longer. ((In which, it was a very short game so they must have been desperate)) Many of the worlds were terribly short with extremely annoying allies ((Mulan from The Land of Dragons, Simba from The Pride Lands, who was strong but just annoying, and an assortment of others that haven't decided that they want to cross my mind just yet.)) Also there were the many unexplained and random appearances of the Orginazation XIII ((in which Axel can pop up whenever he wants of course heart )) and the disappearance of other Orginazation members ((Marluxia, Larxene,...erm...others that I can't remember. However I do realize that Chain of Memories may have more to explain on this account and I haven't had the chance to play it. Even so, for those of us who haven't been able to play it, the makers of KH2 should have provided more information to explain what happened.))
Last but not least, the ending battle with Xemnas was perhaps much too boring and easy to have been that long. Unlike the undying battle with Ansem in KH1, who was actually somewhat of a challenge, Xemnas eventually and pretty much just...died....without any kind of big bang or anything. And then the game just...ends...and rather randomly if you ask me. Several portals just happen to open up and coicedentally Sora, Riku and Kairi just end back up on their island somehow and everything's ok! Talk about a terrible ending! But of course everyone who's bothered to finish the game knows that there IS going to be a Kingdom Hearts 3 because of the fact that our heroes received a letter from King Mickey and none of the gameplayers got to see what the letter said.
But all matters in a nut shell, this game sucked. Perhaps the only elements of the game that I enjoyed were the storyline ((even as badly thrown together as it was)) and the gummy ship improvements. ((I found that very enjoyable actaully.)) Anywho, if you haven't already bought this game, then don't. Even though it can be pretty interesting, it just isn't really worth it. Go rent it, that would be much better. And also pray that the third one can even live up to the second one, for if it doesn't, then Disney and Square Enix should just stop while they're still in the money.
In the famous words of Adam Sessler and Morgan Web, Kingdom Hearts 2 gets two muffins...out of five.
