Sonic Riders (a story and game) Part 31 Some Memories
Shadow: It was kind of the doctor to give me another Emerald. But if I lose this Emerald to Sonic and his friends,I won't get another one.
*Shadow looks at the sky and sees Maria*
Shadow (whispering to himself) : Maria.......
*Shadow's eyes open wide with pain and sees pictures of him and Maria*
In his memories......
A person: Targets identified. Destroying enemies.
Shadow (holding Maria's hand tightly) : Come on.
Maria: Okay.
*They run away*
A person: You can't run away.
*The memory stops,and Shadow grunts*
Shadow: What was that just now?
*He looks up and sees that Rouge used the moniter to locate him*
Rouge (landing) : Shadow,are you alright?
Shadow: I'm fine.
Rouge: I just got worried about you.
Shadow: You? Worried about me? Impossible.
Rouge (disagreeing) : No,I did worry about you.
*Shadow blushes a tiny bit redface but makes sure Rouge can't see it*
Rouge: Oh well. I guess you don't care about it. I'll just get out of your way of whatever you're doing.
*She flies up*
Shadow: Wait!
Rouge (stopping) : What?
Shadow: Uh....,nothing. Just go.
*Rouge gasps gently,then smiles*
*She leaves*
*Shadow closes his eyes and disappears into a different place*
Shadow: Splash Canyon? Why is this familiar?
*His eyes open wide with pain again and sees another memory*
In another memory.......
Maria (laying down on Splach Canyon's grass) : This place is very nice. Isn't it,Shadow?
Shadow: Yes,but I'll stay alert just in case.
*Maria giggles*
Another person (from above) : Targets spotted. Aiming.
*Shadow looks up and sees his enemies targeting Maria*
*They shoot*
Shadow (pushing Maria out of the way) : Maria! Watch out!
*The memory stops,and Shadow grunts*
Shadow: Another memory?
*Rouge spies on Shadow from above*
Rouge (thinking) : So,I guess he's regaining his memories when he goes to familiar places......
*She leaves*
Shadow: So,I saved Maria many times? But what happened to her? I guess I'll find out sooner or later.
*He disappears*
