Sonic Riders (a story and game) Part 37 A Surprising Escape
Rouge (looking around,flying) : I know Eggman would keep prisoners in prisons of course,but I don't know where his prison holder is........
Meanwhile in the prisons......
Cosmo (pushing on the door) : Tails,it won't open!
Tails (hitting the wall with his tail) : I'm trying,too!
*They grunt hard as they were pushed back*
To Cream and Cheese.......
Cream (scared,holding Cheese) : Don't worry,Cheese. It'll be alright,hopefully.
*Cheese makes some agreeing sounds*
To Knuckles........
Knuckles (punching the walls) : I'll prove that I''m stronger than any of his equipment!
*Knuckles's eyes turn red,and he punches the wall really hard but only knocks down 5 bricks*
Knuckles: He must have known that I had the Red Eye Power.
To Sonic and Amy........
Sonic (charging into walls) : Hyah!
*He hits the walls and gets thrown back*
Sonic (rubbing his head) : Man! That hurt!
Amy (running into the wall with her hammer) : Hyah!
*She gets thrown back and lands on Sonic*
Amy: Ow......
Sonic: Amy,please get off of me.
Amy: Oops.
Back to Rouge......
Rouge: It's a good thing that it's dark here. I can sense their vibrations.
*She hears a sound*
Rouge (hiding,thinking) : Someone's coming!
Shadow (laughing) : They thought that was the real thing! I can't believe it!
*Shadow laughs harder while walking to Dr.Eggman's lab*
Rouge (flying,thinking) : So Shadow was the one doing this! And I even cared for him once! Hmph!
*She keeps searching*
Meanwhile in Eggman's lab.......
Eggman: Hohoho! Shadow is just perfect! He captured Sonic and his friends for me as a surprise! Hohoho!
Shadow (walking in) : You needed me,doctor?
Eggman: Ah,just in time,Shadow. I need you to go fetch me some claws in my basement,please.
Shadow: All right.
*He goes out*
Eggman: Once I have those claws,I'll connect them to my grabber and steal their Emeralds! Muahaha!
Back to Rouge.......
Rouge (opening the prison door) : Who would have known that the prison was in front of the library?
Rouge (thinking) : Now,which one is it?
*She hears one that has a really loud bang*
Rouge: That one must be Knuckles. I think I'll open them all.
*She kicks the locks on all of them (starting with Knuckles of course)*
*She quickly flies out of the room*
Knuckles: What happened?
Sonic: Don't know.
Tails (looking at the broken locks) : Looks like something or someone broke the locks.
Amy: Let's just go already!
Cream (holding Cheese) : Come on!
*They run out to the exit when Rouge is on the rooftop*
Rouge: Good,they got out safe and sound.
Meanwhile.....
Shadow (coming in,holding the claws) : Doctor,here are your claws.
Eggman: Thank you,Shadow. Now I have to make sure they're still in the prisons.
*He looks at the moniters*
Eggman: Oh no! They've escape!
Shadow: What?
Eggman: The moniters don't show them here! Somehow they have escaped!
*Eggman presses some buttons that rewinds the moniters*
Eggman (looking at the moniter) : So Rouge has been a Goody-Two-Shoes.
Shadow: Doctor,what happened?
Eggman: Rouge busted them out by destroying the locks. She's pretty clever but not as clever as me!
Shadow: I must go now,doctor.
Eggman: You're excused,Shadow.
*Shadow goes out of the room*
Shadow (running,out of the whole lab) (in front of Sonic and his friends) : Hold it right there!
Knuckles: Shadow!
Shadow: You're not leaving until the doctor has your Emeralds!
Rouge (getting in the way of Shadow) : You're not getting anything,Shadow!
Amy: Rouge!
Sonic: What are you doing here?!
Shadow: So Rouge. You've decided to join the Goody-Two-Shoes side,haven't you? And you didn't tell your new friends that you rescued them?
Knuckles: What?
Tails: Rouge is the one who broke the locks?!
Rouge: Um,yeah.
Knuckles (thinking) : Rouge is the one?
*Shadow punches Rouge,and Rouge grunts in pain as she fell*
Cosmo: Shadow,please stop!
Shadow: Why would I? This is fun.
Amy (getting her hammer,running toward Shadow) : Why you little!
*Shadow disappears with his Emerald,and Amy misses*
Amy: Ow.....
Shadow: Don't mess with me,got it?
*Knuckles eyes turn red,and he punches Shadow in the stomach*
Knuckles: You don't mess with us,either.
Shadow (getting up) : You'll pay for that!
Sonic: How about I give him a lesson or two,Knuckles?
Knuckles (eyes back to normal) : He's all yours.
*Sonic runs,then turns into a fast spiral and charges into Shadow*
Shadow: I've had enough losses for one day!
*He disappears using his Emerald*
Cream: That's showing him!
*Cheese makes some sounds*
Knuckles: Where's Rouge? She was here a minute ago.
Rouge (flying into the mountains) : That Shadow! He made me blow my cover! I'll just go.
Back to Sonic......
Cosmo: I guess she just flew away.
Tails: Let's look for her. She's headed toward Dangerous Valley.

Amy: Why would she go there?
Knuckles: Let's just go.
*They run toward the mountains*
Meanwhile......
Eggman (putting an ice pack on Shadow's head) : Shadow,you mustn't charge into them like that. They have teamwork after all.
Shadow (holding the ice pack) : You never said that before,doctor. Ow!
Eggman: Sorry. Well,there's a time to say something and a time not to say.
Shadow (holding the ice pack) : I guess there is.
Back to Sonic......
Amy (running) : Why are we looking for Rouge again?
Knuckles (running) : Just keep running!
Amy (running) : Hmph!
